On 25 January 2012 they paid my refund into one of my Lloyds accounts, which was not overdrawn. All I can say is well done to Lloyds TSB, they got it right for me; I hope they get it right for everyone else soon.

Hi Phil.... interested in why you said 'not overdrawn'. Does this make a difference in how long it takes for Lloyds to payout?? Have you got 'inside knowledge'?!?!
  • I received my letters offering me compensation for ppi all in same envelope one letter dated 6th december 3 dated 15th december.Rang and was told would have money within 21days still waiting. Rang tues31st jan was told if i can prove extreme hardship by taking relevent documents in to local branch and ask them to fax them to ppi customer care i MAY be able to get my payment early. Why should i have to embarress myself this way to get MY money.
    it absolutely disgusting

Nothing so sinister Lassie. I have two current accounts, one was overdrawn by a considerable amount. If they had have put the money into it, my compensation amount would have been reduced by 20%. Hope it works out for you.

First of all thank you to Moneysaving expert for all the great work they do. I read these pages after applying for a PPI refund and was filled with dismay as I thought LloydsTSB would hold on to any money they may have owed me. However, I was proved wrong. I recieved an offer from Lloyds on 21 January this year, nearly ten weeks after my letter of complaint, offering me a very fair amount. Lloyds TSB fully explained how they arrived at the figure and said they would pay the figure into my bank. On 25 January 2012 they paid my refund into one of my Lloyds accounts, which was not overdrawn. All I can say is well done to Lloyds TSB, they got it right for me; I hope they get it right for everyone else soon.

I would love to know how Lloyds TSB can pay one person that quickly and not others, I no longer have a loan and havent had for quite a few years, and both my accounts with lloyds are never over drawn...I really dont understand how they are prioritising there payments to customers, i have been loyal to them for 25 years, and apparantly a valued customer.. i have now been waiting 57 days since the letter was sent to me.

I really don't know, maybe I was lucky? If all the people who have been compensated would post, the forum would get a better overview of the situation.
  • Well i am still waiting, got my letter in October saying they would pay me and still waiting. Contacted my MP who wrote a letter to them, it took them 2 weeks to acknowledge they had received the letter but have confirmed it makes no differrence to the time i will be paid and can still give no idea of when that will be. They are paying mine to my current bank account whenever it does happen but i know for sure that on that day i will be transferring all money and bank accounts to a different bank and will never give lloydstsb another penny! We should all meet up one saturday morning at our local banks and protest about it as it really is a total joke, especially since they are fast enough to pay themselves thousands of pounds in bonuses!
  • I had my letter on the 22nd of Dec stating how much I am owed from Lloyds and have since fell into financial difficulty which I have advised them. I have now recieved my cheque for interest but am waiting for the premium..
Is anyone in the same boat? or been in the same boat and recieved the final payout?

I realise ive not been waiting as long as some of you others but I really am exp financial difficulties and they are taking so bl**dy LONG
  • Also who is everyone emailing????

They gave me the incorrect information on my last call and told me the payment would be made, it was not and my bank account went overdrawn, Lloyds wrote to me to tell me i will be charged £10 per day until it is corrected plus other charges, but no money will be paid in until i get paid at the end of the month, so most of my pay will go on these charges. I rang up to explain it happened because of the wrong PPI information i was given and the guy on phone refused to help me as i did not know how much i spent on my last supermarket shop and failed the security check. I have just wrote them yet another letter and again copied in my MP but they just ignore my letters and say they cannot help when I ring...i'm at a loss as to what to do. And in your case it just seems incredible they can give you a cheque for the interest and not the actual amount - someone is probably getting paid thousands to come up with these ridiculous ideas!
