Does anyone have a contact for CEO at the Halifax? I'm sick to death making useless phone calls with the usual blah that comes down the line.
I also found out that when you're 'escalated' it means that the operator taking your call emails the 'department' to inform them you are still awaiting payment. Duh, I think they know that already. It's all total and utter nonsence and time wasting.
Thanks to anyone who can help.0 -
i received 3 cheques in sept 2011 all made out in the wrong name, i rang llyods who told me they would be reissued within 14 days, it is now march 2012 and i am still waiting. i phone every week to be told i am on a priority spreadsheet and please be patient. i am losing the plot now. Hi all, firstly thanks to all who have posted to this, it has been great for lowering my expectations, and avoiding a lot of wasted time chasing my claim.
I chased my claim after 28 days of offer, then every fortnight after. Not that I am convinced chasing was making a difference, if anything I had the view the more you shout at someone in claims the more chnace they could put your claim into a querie list that would delay payment further. Anyhow here are the dates of my claim and payment
1. Rang lloyds claim line early november.
2. 1 week later i got an acknowledgment letter about 7 possible loans that my have a claim.
3. Got 7 letters on 7th of Jan saying 6 claims were valid with offers of compensation, I was to do nothing if I was happy with offer, or fill in a letter if I had other concerns or info to attempt a higher claim. Anyhow I did nothing. The letter said interest to be calculated to 6th of Feb and to be paid into account if lloyds customer (I am), cheque otherwise
4. Chased on 13th Feb, they said they would request a chase
5. Chased on 25th Feb, they said they would request a chase, but no dates could be confirmed
6. Chased on 2nd March, same response as before, said they are now sending cheques daily (not sure what they were doing before)
7. Nice welcome home to 6 Cheques yesterday 20th of March, for amounts in offer letters
8. Banked cheques and awaiting clearance.
My next step once the money is cleared is to request compensation / interest upto the 20th March
Hope this offers some hope to you all,
Thanks again for you contrbution to this forum :beer:0 -

now 3 months later still waiting, nearly at the half year mark. Am sick of seeing sent in the wrong name or to the wrong address! Maybe they can make progress if they start employing people capable of reading and writing!

After reading these postings today after looking on the web for other waiting for redress due to miss selling of PPI, and again phoning Lloyds TSB help line my wife who was given a settlement amount on the 30th of August 2011 which she accepted which was on two loans she had used for car purchases in the past.So we waited for the payment to be made after phone calls after phone call we where told just before Christmas it was ready for payment, come the new year and more phone calls still no payment so at the end of march 2012 we complained to the Financial Ombudsman Service who wrote to TSB regarding the failure to pay .We wrote also to Lloyds TSB stating our intention to proceed with our action. My wife has phoned again still to be told that it is being processed.Today 1st of May almost a year since first contacting them we where told that it had been paid into someone else account by mistake so today we wished them a happy birthday as the claim had been in there hands for twelve months, full ofapoligies and all that and they said that a new offer would be forwarded with in 14 working days to my wifeso we wait and see what happensalso if any good comes of the F O S complaint.

Over the years we have had a lot of debts to repay. We are well on our way to repaying all of them. Most of them have been in bank loans with added PPI. We have in all claimed for 11 loans/credit cards.
MBNA have repaid us our money x 3
Egg have repaid us our money x 1
Egg credit card have refused our claim. x 1
Lloyds credit card have repaid us our money x 1
LloydsTSB x 5 loans have NOT paid us our money. They sent us 3 cheques, each with an offer of £1200. We refused to pay them in as it fell way short of our PPI payments. They cancelled the cheques. We sent them ALL the necessary documentation (copies), to back up our claim. The loans had finished years ago, ALL of them paid up fully.
Our cases have been ongoing since November 2011. We are still waiting. We have telephoned them every couple of weeks, and they still have no update for us, not even a revised offer letter. We don't know what to do. Can anyone suggest any action that we could take?
The only contact that they have made with us is, harrassing us about taking out another loan with them to repay a credit card, which we have refused. We could pay off this credit card (with it's jacked up interest rates) if they paid us back our PPI.:mad::mad:0 -
I had a claim with Cheltenham & Gloucester regarding PPI.
At first they denied all claims that I ever had PPI. After furnishing them with proof they still said I had no case.
I took it to the ombudsman last year and heard nothing from anyone.
After various calls to the ombudsman I was informed that I had won the case and they were waiting from Cheltenham & Gloucester to make an offer, this was supposed to have been done in February 2013. As yet I am still waiting, also as a point of interest the claim is now dealt with via Lloyds.
I have contacted them several times and have been told I am not allowed to talk to the settlement department and they are not allowed to look at the case as to why the delay.
I have had nothing at all from Lloyds since the claim was sent to the ombudsman.
I wrote to the director and the financial director about a month ago and still nothing back.
When I spoke to the ombudsman he said they have no power to say how long I must wait but have emailed them 2 or 3 times to remind them.
It would appear if I cannot talk to their settlement department and the directors have no clout I will wait for ever as their is no rule that says they have to pay out, bear in mind I have been waiting since February just for a figure let alone hard cash.0 -
Hi,
Further to my last post.
I did what people suggested and sent a copy of the post to the director via email and got a response.
Not what I wanted to hear, he said the claim is not upheld and there is no record of an offer.
I contacted the ombudsman who said that the offer to be made in February of £4500 was withdrawn and for them to continue with the case.
This is obviously a ploy to delay as the ombudsman put the case on hold until the offer was made to me, what I never received.
I now have to wait, probably months for a decision.0
