On 12 October 2010 Lloyds defied regulations and decided not to respond to any more PPI claims so the CMC advised me they were passing on to The financial Ombusman.
In April 2011 my PPI got caught up in the judicial review. In august i received a letter back from my CMC saying my claim was upheld. Septmeber i received another letter with the amount and stating the have paid interest up to the 26th October 2011 and i should receive the money back then or around that date,
A couple of days after the 26th October no money had been paid. I contacted lloyds personally to try and find out what was happening and they said that there was still a back log and had said i should be patient!
They had said that it could now be another 4 weeks and adjusted the interest to that. Which would be the 23rd of November. Still Nothing. We are now in December. Contacted the CMC again who had notified me that he has emailed the CEO of Lloyds and will confirm within 5 working days the response if any.
It does seem to be a crazy system, as i know people with other banks have received within a couple of months and i am in over a year of a ludicris process.
I do not have a loan with a PPI attached to it so i just cannot understand why i should be patient when it is my money and the fact i have waited over a year!
Lloyds Tsb are thiefs and keeping the money as long as possible to ensure they get their christmas Bonus from extra interest that will not be paid back is just wrong!
Has anyone tried any other route just cant seem to get an honest answer from them?
You can try writing to your local MP, which has got results in some cases. It's a real disgrace.0 -
I received my letter on 27 September, nearly 3 months later and still not received payment.
I have made 2 phone calls to their help line, but they are no help at all.0 -
Received my offer letter at the beginning of August and sent it back same day with a first class stamp. Barclaycard processed the receipt of the acceptance on 26th August! Claim is for "only" £1500 and have been told by several of their employees that they are surprised that it hasnt been paid already and that they will email the payment department (emails that never get replied to!)
Has been almost 4 months now and am still waiting for my money despite several telephone calls and excuses of large volumes of work.

We got through a confirmation from Bank of Scotland on August 26th. When you call them, their recorded message still tells you that you will be paid within 28 days but the reality is that almost 120 days later they still haven't sent a cheque and feed you the same non-committal excuses about being busy etc when you call. Apparently it has been 'escalated' (well it couldn't go any slower) to the Management Team and we could expect a payout within a further 28 days... What a joke! That will be almost 150 days.
We would never use Royal Bank of Scotland in the future for anything, EVER. The fobbing off and even getting irate with us for chasing what they still haven't paid really shows their true colours. Dishonest for taking it in the first place and appalling customer service - they don't deserve our business.0 -

Waiting on a repayment from Lloyds, but getting nowhere. No-one can give me a date at all, and there is no-one else I can talk to. They've offered to email the "admin" department, but they don't make or take calls. I've told them I want it this week, and reminded them that when I missed a card payment they were more than happy to call me 3-4 times a day demanding money. This elusive team will, allegedly, check the case and make sure the payment is sent. However they won't update the notes, nor send any confirmation or acknowledgement, it will just "be done".
Any tips on how to bypass this shambles of a set up? They're sat on £4500 of mine and I want it!

Buy the look of things my frustration with lloyds may continue for a while yet. I have waited for 35 days so far for payment with no luck. My interest was calculated up to the 22nd December its now the 30th, so that's an extra 8 days of interest to be added now. I was informed the delays in paying customers was due to the backlog of recalculations. So now Im in the lloyds circle of lies and false hope. I firmly believe this is a great ploy by lloyds to keep funds in there banks as long as possible by simply not paying people on time. There case is then put back in the system to be recalculated and then the payments team will miss the payment again and so on and so forth. Ask yourselves why a bank dealing with hundreds of thousands of ppi complaints puts its payment department in another building to its ppi customers services department. This just means you never get a straight answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

Well I received my agreement to pay letters on September 16th from lloyds with one being paid end of November but the larger sum still awaiting payment over 100 days now and no loans left literally waiting for payment to my lloyds account. Phone calls have got me no where. However as a side to this sent in a claim to mbna on 9th December and have already received payment. Started the lloyds letters in mid April. Terrible customer service again from lloyds0
