My finger also slipped and i made an order too :) think its contagious, bit like a cold, llets blame the weather.

Pretty positive that i will not need to step in a sm for a good 3 weeks, but seeing as i am doing promo work in 3 mr t's every monday and thur for the next month, im gonna make allowances for a few whoopsies, i have exceeded my budget, but was a bargain and i have gotten some good stuff, so i'm pleased, my fridge is full to bursting what with the frijj glitch, got 12 so gonna give a few of them away to colleagues on mon, to free up some space for upcoming home delivery.

I said in my first post for this month that I would start the budget on payday, 28th October. But I have decided that each month my grocery challenge will be from the first to the last day of each month, regardless of when payday is (makes it easier to track on my spreadsheet).

Little Mai - my pay date varies each month and, like you, I have various spreadsheets for different budgets set up and it is a lot easier for me to work by calendar month too.

I'm going to be over this month - but I've stocked up on staples as had a largish money off voucher (£10 off £50) which is really too much money to not take advantage of. Hopefully this will balance itself out as I shouldn't need to spend so much over the next couple of months (mmmm Christmas coming) / help with being short of funds in January!

Not posted much during the last couple of weeks but kept a track of everything. Discovered an Ald* and Mr T really close to one of the offices I work in. I went on Friday and my plan was to shop in A then get the rest in Mr T but I bought everything fom A including 3 bottles of wine and a bag of nappies and 2 choclate gifts for christmas for £32. I am chuffed to bits, the only thing a few pence more than Mr T was their cream cheese spread cos I normally buy value.

The wine is lovely (DH is converted:T) and the nappies are great if a bit small. I got the size 4/4+ and will get 5 next time.

Forgot baked beans so will send DH for some on Monday.

I am gutted that I am not working at this site the next 2 weeks but I am converted to doing most of my shopping in Ald* from now on.

I will probably be a bit over budget this month but in October I spent £542.93 over 4 weeks inc booze. So far in November I have spent £465.48 on groceries, £56.81 on booze so a total of £522.29 for a 5 week month. A little bt of an improvement I think but still waaaayyy too much:)

I haven't had chance to make the christmas cakes for which I bought ingredients so have loads of eggs to use up. Made 2 cakes yesterday and will be making buns for DS, scrabbled eggs for breakfast and egg may sandwiches for all over the next 2 days. These eggs were not included in my budget as they were to be used for gifts so I might add them back in.

  • Hello all :D

Went to A$da yesterday, armed with two vouchers and my shopping was £40.55 - 55p over budget, and I bought a few things that weren't on the list. Important things though! :p

So I'm £2.10 over a three week budget! This is unheard of in our household! I checked our bank statement for last month and we spent £236 on food! And we still had take away because we never had any actual meals! Not anymore, thanks to this thread :D

    Keep it up everyone
