Right, well, I think I've untangled my mixed-up receipts from the past few days, and have added 2 NSDs [for the 10th and yesterday] and £12.33 [combined spends on the 9th and 11th] to the total. That's as correct as I can be - certainly according to the receipts, and I think I've got all of them, but it's nagging at the back of my mind that there's something I've missed. Oh well, if I find another receipt somewhere I'll change the totals. [Sorry for the wittering, but you know that 'I'm sure I've left the oven on/window open/thing out of the fridge' feeling...
]
I've been going a bit too Christmassy in my treat-buying, so I have to put a stop to that [there's something about Pringles for £1 that forms a short-circuit in my brain - it's like the 'gateway spending drug' for me to buy other things I shouldn't be buying too].
Another reason to put a stop to it is that Him Indoors has decided he's going to join Slimming World on Monday :T and attend with our housemate [local classes are at a time when I can't get to them, having a commute that can be either side of 1.5hrs each way]. I am delighted about this, and have told him that if he's committing himself to it we will find the money to pay for it [he was worried because he's in the process of becoming unemployed again; I figure it's about £5 a week, and I have had that set aside for treats, so it can be a straight swap for now]. And it should help me get back on the SW wagon I fell off with a resounding clang :eek: some months ago.
It should be interesting, and there will be a steep learning curve, if only for me and my whoopsie-buying habits [so often it's things like reduced meat pies and sausages]. When I'm doing SW, it's simple, because I'm vegan therefore all my days are 'green' days, so that's all I've had to learn about. Now I'm going to have to learn about whichever version he - omnivorous chap that he is - chooses to follow, and we'll have to work out meals and shopping to suit both the plan and budget - a sneaky but great way to get him more involved in the GC, shopping and cooking side of things too! :rotfl:
What a health incentive, though. I was talking to our housemate about this, and we reckon that between the three of us, we're so overweight that we can probably stand to lose about the equivalent of three whole slim- to normal-sized people. I think we should give these imaginary people names as we lose them
Sorry for the ramble. Chins up, everyone. There's inspiring stuff going on in this thread, and I love reading all your updates. Keep it up :THaven't done the GC since February, but a glance at the Tower of Receipts tells me I really need to get back into it... and plenty of other Challenges besides.0 -
