If you're feeling extravagent you can get `electric hook-up' which means you could take a slo cooker with you and do a `cook-up' first thing and then have a slap-up meal waiting for you. You will need to get a camping electric socket to plug in but then you just put an ordinary socket the t'other.
The electrics aren't too expensive but if you're only away for 1 night prob not worthwhile.
:rotfl: that reminded me of a few years ago at Santa Pod .... most people camp for the weekend of racing & survive on the food vans or BBQ - one guy we passed however had taken a small generator & his microwave & telly - so Sunday lunch time when everyonelse was sick to death of burger & sausages for breakfast lunch & tea, there was he sitting down to watch the footy eating his microwaved Roast Chicken Dinner with Yorkshires & gravy!:rotfl:I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -

Hi everyone
We (mum, son 15y and me) are off to the east coast in July for a week in a caravan. We have stayed in the caravan before so know how lovely it is.
We are on a much stricter budget this year than years gone by and i though it would be a good idea to do a bit of planning before we go.
We usually have a fry up in the morning or bacon butties etc so start the day off on full tummies.
We tend to head out about mid morning and travel by car to the coastal towns further up the coast...Cromer, blakeney, wells, sherringham are favorites and tend to get some lunch when we are out (although we do tend to faff about a lot before we actually go in somewhere to eat!!! lol)
There is a farm shop type thing near the site which sells fresh fruit/veg etc, so can easily buy daily from there.
Just need some good tasty ideas that are quite quick to make at dinner time when we get back to the caravan as we all are knackered by that time!!!!
Thanks Lucy x#440 sealed pot challenge0 -

What a wonderful thread!
We have a touring caravan with a 3 ring hob and grill, we have lots of pasta, tuna nad tomato sauce, bolognaise etc. Also jars of curry sauce with chopped chicken breast and rice can be cooked quite easily too, will have a good look at this thread later on!:beer:0
