Collect Plus shops don't exist

  • Another person here who hasn't has a good experience with Collect +.

Sent a parcel back to ASOS on the 6th of December. Since the 7th of December my tracking has remained the same (despatched from Romford depot)
I finally managed to get through to collect + yesterday to be fobbed off with some rubbish about parcel volume and that not all parcels are being scanned.
How the hell can they say fully trackable when i have been told that not all are being scanned.

ASOS of course are saying they haven't received it and i have to wait umpteen days before they will look into it.

What a joke of a company!!!!

What is now making me seriously upset is that 'they' will update tracking to show a false situation if you phone them and start asking difficult questions.

The tracking still shows that it has not been collected form my local store- yet suddenly when I got cross at them they adjusted it to show attempted delivery- whch is odd as my buyer lives nowhere at all near the shop that is still holding my parcel. I have actually spoken to my buyer who works at home and who has had no card through the door nor any attempt made to deliver anything.

I actually find this a lot more worrying than just not coping with the volume and forgetting to collect things.

Can I just say arghhhhhhhh and stamp my feet and curse a little (under my breath)

My buyer has intimated ever so politely and with no menace at all that as Monday will be day 11 since he paid he feels that maybe we ought to start talking time frame on a refund unless my parcel appears. (I must say he has bene exceptionally understanding)

The parcel wasn't even collected form the shop until yesterday (day 5) and Collect plus are no longer answering their phones.

So it looks like this may be the most expensive mistake I have ever made in all my time on ebay -

  • It should be with him before christmas (should). According to Collect+ yesterday was the last day to drop stuff in for christmas delivery. However the way HDNL are looking at the moment you'll be lucky to get it there by next christmas, since yesterday I've stopped using them 'til further notice because at the moment the backlogs are absolutely horrendous!!!

    The latest update:

Parcel cannot be delivered as the address is not valid and I need to provide a house number.

I have sent them a link from the Royal mail website showing the address in full as per the parcel label (no house number as this is a standalone property) and have also offered them a Google earth map showing a picture of the rather nice property.

I assume they are just making this up now?

So what do I do now, I'll probably be refunding tomorrow or Wednesday so do I just try and get the parcel back- or is that going to take weeks as well, is there any industry watchdog I can complain to?

  • I have 2 boxes out for a month. One box is fully missing now, the other has at one point been left on a doorstep of a member of public who dropped it back at the depot for me !
Example of the journey with at least a month to go to get back to me (still far from me getting it back It needs to hit Lymington in order for them to contact me to ask where to send it)!
PS CORBY doesn't exist as a depot
At no point was a card put through the door, The person was waiting for it.
