I have now emailed PaulG@collectplus.co.uk about my problems!

My parcel created a missed delivery card and I telephoned the depot at Wembley who said it was there and for me to collect the next day.

When I went I was left waiting for 25 minutes and then Angela said they could not find it and they would look overnight and call me the next day!

The next day nobody called me, and for the last week nobody has called me either!

Their CEO was on the BBC Radio 4 Money program trying to explain why they are so hopeless. He seemed totally overwelmed by the problems they have. Collectplus is actually part of Yodel but they never seem to deliver to local shops as people expect.

The Wembley depot manager never calls me back despite many messages I have left for him! Thge CEO apparently considers this is acceptable!

It is an appallingly dreadful service with a very high level of theft by their self employed drivers who are not checked for their criminal records.

I will now see if PaulG replies to me email!

Well I'm back- dropped a parcel off Saturday morning and guess what..tracking still shows it is sitting in my local shop.

Obviously I am not going to panic, I'm going to sit here and think nice calming thoughts and wait for the tracking to show later on today that it has been collected.

Just sold a £40 on Amazon that weighs 1.8kg wrapped. Shall I risk Collect plus or just use standard parcels ..I'm only saving 42p by using Collect plus---decisions decisions

You're considering that over 42p? That is serious moneysaving thinking going on after your experience on this thread. :money:

Yeah I just saw your other thread. Thought it was just my local but it seems to be happening everywhere.

If it needs to go out today it might be a Collect+ job :o

OK, I'm getting irritated now- almost 6pm and my parcel still shows as being at my local shop.

EDIT: I phoned them and firstly they assured me that parcel had left my store but gave me a time before I had actually droppped it off- so I basically told them I think they were misleading me and they agreed. Finally the confirmed parcel has not been collected, they 'hope' it will go tomorrow but it is not guaranteed as today has been a problem for them and they have had issues with tracking and systems.

So, firstly I must say that I am not good with couriers and I know nothing at all about who is good and who is not. However with my experiences so far with Collect plus they are getting to the stage of being a 'not with a bargepole' company.

I'm going to amend the auctions I have running without bids where I offer them as an alternative to Royal Mail as this could start causing me to lose my TRS status.

My parcel is still at my local shop- thats over 72 hours and climbing.

EDIT: 1645 pm and my parcel is still in my locla shop uncollected- that is 77 hours after I dropped it off. Collect plus phone lines have been busy all afternoon so I can't even get through to be fobbed off again.

This is now a company that I cannot in all honesty recommend anyone touches with a bargepole if they are sending ebay goods. This is the fastest way to start getting low stars .

Only recently started using collect+ as it worked out cheaper then sending via Royal Mail but never again. Had a parcel left on the door step Sunday afternoon in the rain luckily the customer arrived shortly after the driver left. Have another parcel sitting at the depot since the 3rd of December.
• I'm quite suprised at everything one here, I've only had 1 problem with them and that was resolved quickly enough!!! :¦
