I don't know how many times you can use this but '4500shops' gives you 20% off0

None of the retailers have been near by, they've all been 8 or so miles away which wouldn't matter, but when you get there and they can't find your parcel and you drive home just to come back again another day...... Or the shop assistant has absolutely no idea how to scan & process the paperwork and keeps asking you for money for the P&P..?!!! Argh!!! If I could find a more reliable outlet who know what they're doing I don't mind the drive, as I can usually work in a shopping trip or visit to family, but so far I've been less than impressed. But, it IS a good idea and it SHOULD work!!!

According to my tracking the parcel I sent Thursday morrning hasn't budged from a hub since Friday- I can't say this is impressing me so far. A standard parcel sent via Royal mail on the same day was received saturday as I got glowing feedback for my speed of service.
I have dropped an email to Collect plus to ask why my parcel appears stuck in a hub
Sometimes the progress of the parcel down the network does not
change on the web tracking system until it is delivered or already
gone to the other side to the recipient's depot.
I sent 2 parcel on Friday and they both been delivered to the customer today.
Just an hour earlier the status was the parcel received at the recipient depot.
And after an hour later the status changed to delivered to customer.
So may be worth checking the web site again for the status change.0 -

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Most of the outlet I use are very good.
Sometimes the staffs are new so they dont know how to use the
system. But I suggest you use an outlet closest to you and use the
outlet few times so that the staff will get to know how the system
work and then just carry on using them.0 -

You can only use that code once and only on one parcel.0 -

Just checked again. Arrived at hub in a location near to the buyer on Friday- no changes to status since then. So even if they don't work Saturday (which is odd surely?) then what happened to today?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Usually if the parcel arrived at the local depot then the parcel gets
delivered on the same day or day after. Unless the parcel was
attempted delivery and taken back to the local depot.
Does it show on tracking that it has been processed at the central hub and
then gone to the buyer's local depot?0 -

It just shows that it was received at Llandudno Depot (which is near the buyer) on Friday, nothing since. Tracking shows it arrived at, and left my local depot on Thursday.
This is the first courier I have used for years, the first ever for an ebay item so I am understandably nervous especially as parcels sent next day via RM have already arrived.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hey Soolin, if you don't mind me asking what do you sell mainly on eBay? I deal with electronics generally (blackberry's mainly) but also do a fair bit on blu-ray. You mention you have many heavy glass items so just wondered what sells well on eBay.
You donlt have to tell me, just wondered.
(sorry for hijacking the thread OP, I just didn't think this warranted a new 'soolin - what do you sell' thread) :rotfl:0 -

Firstly I ought to reassure regular users of Collect plus that I haven't tried to use them to ship glass- I noted that is specifically excluded by Collect plus.
Johnnyboyrebel - I sell whatever I can lay my hands on- my family call me del boy - although I see myself of more of a Lovejoy (the one on the TV not the original character in the books who was a crook and a murderer). I am always watching the market, doing multiple browses on ebay, seeing what is selling and what I can source.
I noticed that vintage glass sells well to non UK buyers- probably because very few sellers will risk shipping it- so I kept a look out for house clearances and general auctions. I often buy mixed lots at auction as well (I use several different B and M houses ) and sort the stuff to sell in my retail presence , on ebay and also what I can't sell which goes straight to a charity shop. Sometiems the prices go too high for me too buy or else I get too many competitors so I also have other lines- some I source on ebay, add 'value' and resell in an entirely different market.
I do occasionally find something in the High Street that I can turn a profit on, but basically it is anything that will sell. I always try and run several lines at the same time rather than rely on only one sort of thing. As soon as a market starts to die I get out and move on.
I tend to avoid clothing and electricals and have never drop shipped- all my stuff is in hand and ready to go which gives me an edge over some other sellers.
I do also sell in a couple of very niche markets with high profit margins which I would prefer not to talk about on here due to competition.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
