What do you want? After Eights, chocolate truffles or cherry liquers?

    Yes Please :rotfl: :EasterBun
    So plans for today:
      [STRIKE]
    • Meal plan for coming weeks (last week of this month scraping the barrel, and then a fortnight living lavishly, followed by a freezer fortnight of all the stuff i cook in my lavish fortnight )[/STRIKE]
    • Deep Clean Bathroom
      [STRIKE]
    • At least 1 load of washing[/STRIKE]
    • I have about 2hrs worth of ironing to do (may leave until tomorrow)
    • Balance my food budget for January
      [STRIKE]
    • Clean kitchen - inc microwave and top of hob (some grubby marks from where OH was playing )
    • Wash "accessories" eg. tablecloths and bath mats[/STRIKE]
    • Bake a cake or two - will probably do a marmalade cake and some weetabix brownies

Quite a productive day here once I actually managed to get out of bed!!! As well as the things on the list, have gone through each room and tidied it to perfection. Had all the windows open so house feels lovely and fresh now :) Still not dressed but have a (poor) excuse that I used all my hot water cleaning, so am waiting for it to heat up again before I jump in a lovely hot bath and pamper myself before hitting the tiles (hopefully not literally!!) tonight :)

OH is in the air now... He really doesn't like flying and was texting me saying how nervous he was getting. In the end I told him I wasn't going to look at my phone again until he's due to have landed as I was winding myself up missing him!

In the messages that I did look at though, he told me he'd forgotten to take his sandwiches so had to buy expensive tasteless airport food, and he'd forgotten to take his fleece jacket with him. Wouldn't mind so much but he nagged me all weekend to make sure it was washed and dry for him  men eh?!

Just sitting waiting for the water now, with a cup of tea and some sandwiches that I didn't have to make :rotfl:

    Have a good day everyone

Lil-me: make yourself a brew and go and curl up in bed for an hour or so :)

EDIT TO ADD: (((((((((smokybabe)))))))))) thinking of you both :grouphug:

    Hi everyone.
Just a quick one as OH is in hospital, I had to do a 999 for him this morning as he had bad chest pains and couldn't breathe. He's on coronary care at the moment and I'm not allowed back until 3 o clock to see him as they don't allow visitors between 1 and 3, and so am packing bits and pieces to take.
I can't stay too long though as I have to get back to see to the kids, what a nightmare this is.

((((hugs)))) to you both, I'll be keeping everything crossed for your DH xxx

Best not doze off now it's started snowing and the school tends to get shut if it snows, only an hour until finishing time I suppose so hopefully not today! Jump leads in DPs car, no wonder I wouldn't find them, will have to sort my car out tonight, make sure it's just the battery etc as we'll need it (4x4) if we get bad snow for DP to get to work, drifts get bad here and no way his car would manage it, it gets parked up and left as soon as we get snow :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi everyone.

Smokybabe Hope your hubby is ok.

Angelselondon Wow you start early! What time do you finish work?

dlb Glad you discovered the goodies at Boots! I went there four times last week and I also bought the skater sets for my youngest DD who wants to be a boy!

I don't work today and Monday usually involve grocery shopping and the gym. But I just couldn't be bothered going to the gym today as I didn't have enough energy. Apparently today is known as 'Blue Monday' or something like that.
It's just too cold and the thought of coming home from the shops and drinking hot chocolate was too attractive. I'll try harder next week!
Youngest DD is going to a 'tea-party' at her friend's house and eldest DD and DH have their sax lesson here tonight. Even tonight's tea is a lazy one...defrosting veg hotpot which was made a few weeks ago in the sc. I might even grate some cheese and heat up some bread...then I'll need a lie-down! :rotfl:

Planning Inspector has been, I'm hoping against hope he refuses next doors planning appeal. If this house gets built at the bottom of next doors garden it will destroy my whole way of life and the entire reason I bought this tatty 200 year old house. I even had them all traipsing through my house with muddy feet to see exactly how much privacy we would lose from DD's window. If that helps to stop the building then mud all over my beige carpets will be worth it.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

SSB where abouts are you in Derbyshire, It has turned out lovely and sunny, but still very cold in that wind.

    Welcome Skirt

smokeybabe here's hoping DH makes a full & speedy recovery,

Im just about to iron uniforms for work/school tomorrow, then fetch the kids from school, nip to the post office, then chill out for a while before doing dinner and fetching OH from work.

    Be back later
    Take care all
    Love as usual
