    Welcome Newbies

Came on here for a quick break, have done paperwork all day. 1 horrible filing job is all done and another one for tomorrow - which wont be as bad. Am feeling very pleased with myself, wont do anymore today but am just going to cook dinner - saus, chips and eggs.

One day this week I want to go and do an inventory of the outside freezer but not today - I stepped outside for a minute earlier and it was horrible - least it made sitting indoors filing a bit easier.

    Have a great evening

    Afternoon :hello:

((((hugs)))) smokeybabe and DH and to SnowyOwl and other ill people and to lil_me and anyone else who's having a bad day!

Home after first day of jury service. Didn't get put on any trials and got released before 3:30. Hope I might get something vaguely interesting tomorrow!

Got home to find that the housing association have finally sent me the means by which to pay my rent and service charge (shared ownership flat) but with somebody else's name on it  so they worked out where the error was and I should be getting the corrected documentation within 2 days. It's funny, everybody I've personally dealt with at the HA has been fantastically efficient, while all those behind the scenes have been utterly useless! They obviously only let the good ones near the general public :rotfl:

No idea about dinner tonight, not feeling adventurous so egg chips and peas I think.

    Rzl xx

    Hello all,

Was up very early this morning taking OH to get his dressing changed - his knee is healing nicely and he can almost walk on it now - he's just challenged me to a game of ping pong, so he must be feeling better if he's up for being defeated yet again :p)

Have to be up even earlier tomorrow - am going to Cambridge for a couple of days to see a friend - the bus leaves at 7.00  And my friend has just informed me that he wants to go to a club night tomorrow, so looks like I won't be going to bed until about 2am either

Today, I've done a couple of washloads, had a tidy up and done some Ebay listings. What fun.

    Hello :hello: to the newbies.

Had a busy day at the office. Was pleased that I was almost getting to the point where I could see my desk again when boss gave me a huge report that he wanted typing. Unfortunately he didn't have all the background information that I needed to do it. So I had to do lots of downloading, research, etc then typed 15 (yes, 15!) pages and it is only about halfway done. At least I know what I will be doing on Wednesday.

He did offer me the use of his static caravan in the South of France for half the going rate though so I can't complain. Trouble is, I'm not sure I can afford it this year. Will do some serious budget planning to see if it is even a remote possibility.

Dinner was a stir-fry thingy with lots of veggies and noodles. Yum. Going to make pork escalope marsala tomorrow (she says crossing her fingers and hoping that it works).

Please don't talk anymore about chocolate! Please. I'm trying to be sooooo good just now but it is taking some effort not to eat even the tiniest bit of something I shouldn't.

just wanted to say hi to everyone and send hugs to those not well.

not read all the thread yet. waiting on another two buyers collecting stuff from ebay sales - wish they'd hurry up. i made the mistake of not giving them a set time. did really well on ebay yesterday and got rid of more clutter.

dinner tonight is mexican wedges and enchiladas.

saw that most of uk has had severe weather warnings issued - hope those of you with kiddies desperate for snow get some. after last weeks snow it is strange to have a severe weather warning here when it was beautiful here today with bright blue skies and lots of sunshine - but it was bloomin freezing.

    Good evening all

Have been popping in from time to time today so been keeping up. Had a busy day at work, having gone in late after doing last coat of paint on windows, so thought should concentrate on the bread and butter job.

I am in touch with a couple of you via e-mail - you know who you are and love, kisses and hugs!

Read some interesting posts today off and on about over-use of the thanks button etc and some grumpy folk on other forums re photos! Also about using the search function on the site. I must say that when I have used search it has come up with some very long-winded, not too helpful etc etc threads.

Well, what I will say is that no Thanks buttons tonight but love, hugs, thoughts, congratulations and birthday wishes to all who it applies to.

Re those trying to loose weight. Sorry. Due to change of medication I seemed to shed far too much weight over the last few months. I was down to below 6 and a half stone and I can tell you I was worried. I couldn't eat big portions and just went totally off lots of food I used to love. The good news is that I am now starting to feel hungry again and while I still cannot face salad am eating far better. The gorging on Xmas chocolates has helped. Now when I look in the mirror first thing in the morning before the slap goes on I don't look quite so gaunt as I did last month. I have never had to diet or watch what I eat (one of the very lucky ones) but loosing too much weight is not much fun either.

Anyway -- not sure if I will communicate again tonight. Huge pile of ironing and a few mending jobs there too. Only half day at work tomorrow as going to DGS1's 4th birthday treat (bowling) on his actual birthday. Just recovered from DGS3's snogs yesterday. Where did he learn that, and not even 2! By the way, for you Mums and Grannies, Pampers wipes are on offer at Lidl's this week (BOGOF) for double pack - just over £3 for 4 standard packs. I stocked up tonight on way home.

    Love to all

  • Evening all, haven't read through the thread yet, but just wanted to say hello. Hope everyones well (((hugs))) to anyone not feeling well, or who are in need of them.

Off to help at the disabled adult group in a little bit, its our first anniversary of the club (since we took over from the last committee) and we've bought a cake for the members. Its worthwhile helping but I'm afraid I sometimes don't look forward to it after a busy day at wo*k. (ooh, I must sound awful - but you know what I mean, I hope!)

Anyhow, take care all and have a good day tomorrow,
    BBxx

    Evening everyone :hello:

It seems that I'm busy, busy, busy for the next few days. The school that I'm doing supply in until Thursday is putting their Year 6s through mock SATS papers, which means that I have to mark some of them!

Luckily tonight, it's chilli con carne (HM, but defrosted) with rice for supper, so nice and easy, especially as I have yet more ironing to do. One day, I'd like to have a rest from having the airer up in the spare room.

DH had an IT exam this morning, but thanks to an accident on the A14 he got to the test centre 45 mins late, even though he'd allowed plenty of time and he should have been 45 mins early. They ummed and aahed about whether he was allowed to take the exam as he was so "late", but decided to allow him after he pointed out that he would have lost £85 in exam fee if he wasn't allowed to take it. Luckily, he passed! Only another 5 modules to study for.......

We had a lovely time over the weekend with my friend's parents staying with us on Saturday night. It was a little bizarre having them to stay and not my friend, but they're such lovely, easy people that it didn't matter in the end.

Anyway, I'd better go and tackle this ironing pile again. I had got it down to zero last night.............. only for more things to dry!
