Hi, this is the Daily Thread for mon 22nd jan. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Hi all, up early with lo but he slept all night:j although i should have gone to bed earlier than 12.30!:rotfl: always stay up late when dh is on nights
Some snow on ground, not much, although i am sure i saw lightning last night and heard thunder, or was that just me!:rotfl:
Plans to:
Shopping in tesco
ds2 got dentist ( a filling)
more washing
Hugs to all
Kyle

Morning everyone, not usually on this early as I’ve normally got so much to do in the mornings I can’t spare the time. DH has gone to the States for a two week training course and I didn’t get much sleep last night - strange isn’t it how you can want to strangle someone for snoring one night then desparately miss it the next!! I seemed to wake up every hour last night despite having a couple of large glasses of wine to help – maybe I’ll try cocoa tonight…
Anyway, WM on, BM on, TD on, lunchboxes made, last few items of ironing finished and I’m just about to fill up the SC with veggies to make a soup for later. I feel like I’ve done a day’s work already!!
Got to work this morning then I’m going to de-clutter. I’ve decided to feng shui the house over the next two weeks, clear the clutter and hopefully improve the flow of chi so that we win the lottery the weekend OH returns home. I’ve already listed several items on Freecycle and some should be collected today – not having too much success there lately but that’s another thread…
Hope everyone enjoys their day :wave:It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.0 -

Morning to all the earlybirds and to everyone else who follows :hello:
Back to w**K this morning, but I've had a good OS weekend - so can't complainThe freezer is full with lots of HM soups for lunches, rolls and meals. Wine is on the go in the kitchen. Tonight we will be putting one of the wines into a demijohn.
Breakfast: oats, fruit and HM yoghurt with a glass of orange juice
Lunch: HM Pea and Ham soup, roll, banana & apple
Dinner: Pheasant casserole (left over from yesterday), potatoes and cauliflowerEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Good morning everyone! Just having a quick cup of tea, then I'm off to the gym for an hour:eek: Has to be this early, before I've woken up, else I wouldn't go:D Then later I plan to go buy myself one of those steam generator irons. I seem to spend half my life ironing and anything that can make that a bit easier
I've not been around much the last few days, but have tried to skim at least some of each thread. Having connection problems at the moment, it just keeps dropping out!! At least half the time it "freezes" the laptop when it does this and I have to shut down and restart - what a bore!
Anyway ((((((hugs))))) to all that need them, but especially SnowyOwl and ageandjo. Thinking of you both. Snowy at the risk of sounding like your mother, you're run down my girl:D You need to build yourself up, maybe take some sort of tonic, or vitamin pills.
Must rush, I need to be out of here in 1 minute.
Take care, hope to be back later,
CMxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
It's dry and calm here today. Can't remember the last time we had weather like this. DD is playing football after school today so at least she won't be blown off the pitch.
W**k today then hoping to continue the de-cluttering of the house. Getting there very slowly but very surely.
Have some chicken and pork escalopes in the fridge that need to be used either today or tomorrow and as I'm trying to get back on the healthy eating wagon, I will be looking for some low fat, very healthy meal ideas later.
Quite well-organised today but I'm sure DS will prove that wrong at around 8.20 when he is due to go out the door. Just lately he has taken to suddenly remembering something that he must have that day and giving me no time to get it.
Anyway, must go as I'm trying to do some exercise every morning and it's much easier if DS and DD aren't falling over themselves laughing at my attempts.
Have a great day everyone."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning Everyone,
It's Monday, which means, for me, up at 04:15 bright and early, although it was more like dark and dismal. I’ve had Breakfast 2 crumpets, turned on the Slow Cooker; and caught my usual 05:30 train and am now sitting at my desk in Paddington ready to start the day.
Don’t feel tired yet, will do by the time Corrie starts tonight.
I’ve packed my fruit for lunch today, hoping to loose a few pounds by summer, when it’s my Brother’s Wedding.
The weekend seems like a blur already and next weekend seems even further away. Loads to pack in this week, it’s Blokes Birthday on Saturday, so will be baking that cake. I’ve have decided not to put Shortening in the Buttericing as stated in the recipe. After receiving Pura in the weekly shop on Saturday it turned my stomach. I may use it up by trying the Barnyard Dumplings that I saw on the Old Pudding Thread, they sound Lush.
I’ve got to go to post office at lunchtime to post off my Ebay items. I more or less broke even on the TMX Elmo, so I’m happy and also means that the Gift Cupboard is less cluttered.
Anyway I better start my work. I’ll pop on later to see how you are all doing.
