  • Morning all.

Have been off work since Christmas Day due to a minor car crash and am due back to work on Thursday    This is the earliest I have gotten up in the whole 4 weeks. Trying to get myself back into some kind of routine for shift work! And it isn't easy especially when I'm in bed and awake at 4am! Gonna try and have an early night tonight

I need to pop into town later to pay my £2 collection into the bank and collect my mum's christmas present from the post office.

Meal plans should feature somewhere in the days activities and I have shed loads of washing to do. Bed could do with changing and there is also some washing to put away. Busy busy!

Hope everyone else is well and has a productive/ restful day depending on how you look at it!

  • Morning all,
Hugs to pawpurrs and anyone else that needs one - Snowy as well.
I'm giving myself a 10 min break from cleaning up - we had foreign visitors from Malaysia for dinner as well as colleagues of dh's. So did HM tomato soup, full roast chicken dinner and hm meringues, blueberries cheese and biccies etc. Turned out the Malaysians only ate vegetarian as we are not a Muslim household so the chicken wasn't hallal. I don't have a problem with that but they hadn't told us as they didn't want to embarrass us:rolleyes: Luckily one of the other guests is veggie so there was a veggie option - phew!!!

Anyway more chicken leftover for this week =:j

Have already been to 2 Lidls to buy 10 booster seats for the Scout minibus - other leaders are also poised in case anyone had questionned the numbers - but they didn't seem to mind. There's a new Aqua aerobics classs starting today so I'm going to go 0- also college tonight for the last session for the food hygiene cert.

Packed lunches - chicken :D sandwiches, choccy wafers leftover from Christmas and apple juice from last night
    Me: leftover vegetarian aubergine dish

Dinner - pasta with leftover chicken and leftover peas

Hope you all have a good day - can feel the washing up calling

    :hello: OS'ers:hello:

    :grouphug: if you need one:grouphug:

Bright morning, sun is shining but its cold out there, have opened the windows to get a bit of air through the place......OH off out, I need to clean the bedrooms and bathroom, but am waiting for a parcel which I think may arrive today, do not want to have to go and collect another one, think our postie will be back, but not sure, so have to hear the door go, no hoovering until after she has been.

Still toiling through the mess in the back bedroom, hope to finish today, threw away lots of stuff yesterday, had to give up as I was getting very tired and my chest was hurting. I have fibromyalgia and thats the way it tells me to ease up or else.......

Found out last week that the boot sale at the footy staduim has closed until February, so gives me a little more time to collect some more junk (sorry saleable items) to go on the stall. I need to raise £150 by May for spending money on our holiday.

Apart from cleaning and doing a bit more chucking out thats all I have planned for today.....I have bids on some stuff on the US ebay site......so want to keep my eye on it.

Not sure whats for supper, think it might just be egg and chips, its Burns night this week, so we will be having haggis and neeps for supper......think its thursday...
Right off for a :coffee: of earl grey.................

see ya'll later, by the way welcome back kiwichick.........nice to hear from you again......

  • Hello everyone

A big ((hug)) to everyone who needs one. JackieO, great news about the little one.

NOt much going on here this morning. DS2 is asleep and DS1 has his pinny on and is asking me to get some flour out the cupboard so he can cook sausages (bless).

Going to get wrapped up in waterproofs later and take them down the woods to jump in muddy puddles - it's cheaper than the soft play centre . Will need to get the BM on later too.

Pawpurrs - hope things get better.

Just had a manic morning. Couldn't find my front door keys when it came time to go to school. Decided to go out the back way, but the door's swollen with the damp and so in trying to pull it shut I pulled the handle off. Had to chance dropping DS off at school with the door unlocked.

Came back and started hunt for keys (decided I couldn't chance 2 1/2 hours at playgroup with DD with the door open). Managed to clear kitchen completely (it looks good and shiny) then had a brainwave and looked in the little enamel coffee pot in the dining room. I had a vague recollection of DS playing with it yesterday. And sure enough - there were my keys. At least I've found them.

Then I made myself a celebratory cup of tea, only to lose it for a good 5 mins. I could smell it in the room (it's lapsang souchong(sp?)) but just couldn't see it.

Right - DD and I off to get some lactofree milk for DS.
