Not much from me today, although did manage to finally go through the kitchen cupboards last night   All I can say is no more food is coming into the house, we have more than enough to feed us for months never mind weeks!

Anyway, finding it really hard to get into the college stuff I need to be doing and the clock is now ticking at double speed. I'm supposed to be going this afternoon but all I want to do is go home and cwtch up nice and warm

Hopefully I will feel a little more motivated later!

As always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

    Morning all.

Brief visit today before I tackle Moggins Mad Manic Monday flylady list!

I will check in again today with more to report than just a shiny sink I hope!

At the moment though, I am still in my dressing gown with a mug of coffee near me. Must get my act together!

Have a good day everyone x

    Morning chums
slight frost here this morning and the cars look a bit iced up ,but not too bad at the moment .Snow predicted for Wednesday, I hope not as I have to drive into London .I am off to the theatre to see 'The Waves' by Virginia Woolf at the Cottisloe Theatre ,part of my uni course. I am finding it really hard to read her books ,I think I must be missing something.

Taking my daughter and grandson to the Chatham Dockside outlet centre today to get him some new shoes .He is growing like a weed at the moment, and seems to grow faster than we can buy for him.

Good news last night, our new little family member Tilly Grace may be let out of hospital today, a week before her due date .She was 2lbs 12 ozs born on 27th November, and it was touch and go for the last couple of months but she has thank God pulled through:j , and although she is only tipping the scales at around 4lb 6 ozs they are letting her go home today as they have a bronchitis outbreak in the childrens ward at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford .She will be safer at home apparently .She is feeding well, and all of her lines have been removed .Apparently she is like a little doll at the moment ,but we are all so pleased with her progress.I am hoping to see her when she comes with her parents at Easter.:j

Hope everyone has a good day and keeps wrapped up warm as it's definitely getting more like winter .

Angelselondon, you live in Blackheath eh ? I went to school there 56 years ago.It was a little village then and we had to dance on the grass around a Maypole every year ,most embarassing as the locals used to come and watch us .All Saints Primary, Blackheath, was my school and there were only four classes in those days .I have a picture some where of my class of 1950, all 44 of us  looking rather bored at having to have our photo's done . We all had to troop across the heath to church every Wednesday morning .
It was a lovely place to go to school though, as we had Greenwich Park so close by. Every year I go with my grandsons to collect conkers from the park, although it's a forty mile trip each way. It's a smashing place for children to run around in, and so close to London. Ah well enough of this reminicing I have to go and put my WM on it is Monday morning after all Take care all and (((hugs to those in need )))

    Morning everyone
I'm fed up today:( All last week I significantly cut down on my calorie intake. Fruit for breakfast, soup for lunch, healthy main meal with smallish portions and wine only on Fri, Sat and Sun. Absolutely no snacking. I've been reasonably active too. I was feeling really positive and sure I'd lose at least one pound. I've lost none :(

I will persevere this week. Going camping with OH and kids in August and don't want to be a fat camper:rolleyes:

    Meals today

Breakfast (Kids) American pancakes with fruit sauce (pancake mix recipe from More-With-Less Cookbook)
    Me - some fruit

Kids lunches - pitta pizza, chocolate and cranberry muffin, 2 pieces of fruit
    My lunch - squash soup

Supper - Chinese minced pork (mince with peas, carrots, beansprouts,
    sweetcorn, soy sauce) + rice

I'm not sure how those meals can be more than 1500 cals tops

Anyway, onward and upward. Tesco then farmshop, then back to my game- Syberia. Many thanks to Moggins and Chardonnay:T for alerting me to it - it's fab:D
  • thriftlady - I know exactly how you feel. I've had weeks where I've limited my calorie intake to 1000 cals a day and have end up gaining a pound  but then the following week I will eat more and loose a couple of pounds I think it's just your bodies way of adapting to change

Keep at it though, I'm sure you'll notice a difference. Also you may want to measure your waist / hips etc as some weeks you will find you loose inches but no weight.

My kitchen needs a MAJOR sorting, I am going to go over our finances(YPPEE!- NOT) have to do some handwashing(no chance of getting WM mended)also need to sort out papers for recycling, tidy bdroom and work out what we are having for tea. Addd to this I forgot(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to buy any spuds despite buying LOADS of veg- DOH!,I can't load my receipt for one of the mystery shops I did on Sat AND I have raging tummy ache(kep having to run to loo. Aw well HO HUM. Hugs to all, have a nice day and stay safe and warm. Cats are all in and fire giong on shortly. Hav done all the cat stuff. Livingatone(currently my avaitar) caught a bird yesterday, he is 6 1/4 and htat was his first, brought it in to hte house and GROWELED at DH when he tried to take it off him!
