    Good morning all :hello:

Up early as OH left for France for a week about half an hour ago - Miss Behaving I know exactly the feeling!!! Will miss him loads as I've never been in the flat on my own for longer than a night!! What a baby that makes me sound :o He's driving to Stanstead and then flying and leaving the car at the airport. Really worried about him - especially with the recent weather I'm just so paranoid in case something should happen :( My mind is always going to the worst-case scenario, hence me playing on my laptop when I should be in the land of ZZ's still as didn't sleep well in the night.

Also, because he's taken the car for a week, I'm stuck on public transport :( On the plus side though, it means I won't go out as much and have planned a real spring clean so the place sparkles when he gets back!! However I've crammed my diary tight so that i don't miss him... Out in Sheffield with my best friend tonight to the students union (£1 entry and £1 drinks  ), a friend from back home (Manchester) is coming over to stay tomorrow night and we're having a girly night in, then I'm on a late shift at work on Wednesday so won't get in until 11ish as have to use the bus, then he's back midnight-ish on Thursday!!

    So plans for today:
    • Meal plan for coming weeks (last week of this month scraping the barrel, and then a fortnight living lavishly, followed by a freezer fortnight of all the stuff i cook in my lavish fortnight :D )
    • Deep Clean Bathroom
    • At least 1 load of washing
    • I have about 2hrs worth of ironing to do (may leave until tomorrow)
    • Balance my food budget for January
    • Clean kitchen - inc microwave and top of hob (some grubby marks from where OH was playing :rotfl: )
    • Wash "accessories" eg. tablecloths and bath mats
    • Bake a cake or two - will probably do a marmalade cake and some weetabix brownies

All this, of course will happen after my mandatory cup of tea (or 3 - guna fill the thermos I bought OH for Xmas and bring it back to bed with me), a good ol' browse on here, and maybe a few more hours of kip or else I'll be no fun tonight!!!

Have a good day all (((big hugs to all those who need one)))

    Morning all!!
Cold and miserable looking here this morning, we had a bit of a snow shower last night but none settled.Hoping for some more today after iv finished what i need to do!!

All the kids still in bed, but at last they all return to school today:T , it seems ages since iv had a morning alone, so i am going to nip into town to bank and pop to boots to gets some toiletries/medicines using my piggtpoint vouchers.

Need to go food shopping after iv pick up dd from nursery then home to prepare tea and get lads footy stuff ready for training tonight.

I must make more of a effort at night iv decided, i did last night and it was so nice to get up to a clean kitchen, lunch boxes already made and knowing the kids uniforms are all laid out ready. I even loaded WM so iv just had to turn it on this morning, so will make that my challange this week to do this every night.

Have a great day all, just off to make another cuppa then have 10 mins browsing
    Take care

  • Morning all!

DH and I went out for a walk in the wind yesterday. Had a great time, but discovered that we both thought the other had brought the chocolate ration   What a disaster. Made a few plans for the months ahead - we don't seem to get much time to chat atm.

Spent some time yesterday discussing chemistry with DS. He's very keen to know things, and is a pleasure to chat to.

Got a call yesterday asking if I'd consider being treasurer for the Scout District - quite an honour to be asked. Said that I can do the books, but simply have no time atm to come to lots of meetings or do funding applications. Will see how that goes.

Busy on the bathrooms today - not a job I enjoy. Will spend some quality time with my needlepoint as a reward for sparkly sinks :D;)

See you all later, Penny. x

    Morning all!

Someone please help me back to my chair.... I'm sure I saw a post from Churchmouse pre 7am, and even more shocking that she was going to the gym! This is not the Churchmouse I know - mine will be sipping tea and eating welshcakes :D (good on ya hun, I'm impressed and jealous!)
IT seems that a few have been bitten by the eraly morning work out routine, but I'm quite happy with my workout - I love surfing and my fingers have never been so toned :D (IYKWIM)
Sold 19 items on ebay yesterday so spent the evening packaging the 9 that had been payed for ready to go to PO this morning.
H/M bread and boiled eggs are cooling for todays sarnies as it's college for the rest of the day for me.
The house is gradually getting more organised - cleared one of the worst cupboards in the kitchen yesterday while cooking dinner. Well impressed with myself ;)
I hope you all have a lovely day, and those who are poorly start to recover rapidly.
    Hugs to all,
    Kaz x

    Good morning everyone,

Well, not sure what the weather is doing at the moment, its too dark outside!!! We had a little thunder and lightening yesterday, but the forecast today is for nicer weather, although it will be cold - dont mind that, as we can always wrap up warm.
Must go to Tescos today, didnt want to until later in the week, but found yesterday i was almost out of veg, so ive gone through the cupboards and have my list, so lets hope i stick to it!!!!
2 LOs here today, but they enjoy a trip to Tescos, there is a pet shop near by so we might pop in there for them to look at the rats and mice!!! Also have an ebay parcel to post so will do that whilst we are out too.
Right, better get Ds and DD up, surprised DS isnt already up and ready to go, hes looking forward to school today after the footie result last night.
Hope everyone has a lovely day, stay safe in any bad weather,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well done on the ebay sales Kaz!!!!

Just thought I'd post quickly again to offer anyone and everyone a BIG HUG on what is apparently the most depressing day of the year... Blue Monday (according to this article)

    Morning all

Not a good nights sleep again, I couldn't get to sleep until 12 then woke up at 5.

Churchmouse I too am shocked with all this energy first thing in the morning.

Snowy I agree that you sound really run down lately :(

I've got to get going soon, we have the planning guy arriving at 2pm and I want to have everything done by then.

DD's thumb looks much better, the swelling has gone down and it's fading to a pale red colour instead of an angry red.

    Hi Strangers,

I've not been around much this year. Had my mother here from NZ for 5 weeks    and it was more than I could deal with TBH. Anyway, she went on Friday night so I am going to give myself a bit of time to recover and then hopefully will be back with you all.

Having not been on to read or keep up to date on everything I would just like to quickly say I hope you're all having a good 2007 and give lots of love and hugs to those of you in need today.

    xx
