Thanks spiddy, and Shez, nice suggestion but I just washed the sofa so can't sit on it, sods law eh! It is sometimes nice that others are having a bad day too, not that I wish it on anyone of course :rotfl: just had to run outside to get the washing in as it's raining, might be hail actually that hurt my head!

DP has called saying they have already had some idiot behind him (he was behind funeral cars) beeping horn and flashing lights as they were going slow, pleased I am not there as things like that really wind me up. Unfortunately this was before I found out the car has a flat battery, will wait until I know it's definately finished before I ring him to tell him. I think it starts at 1pm. Part of me is just pleased sons appointment was cancelled last minute as we'd have ended up having to get a taxi.

BM, ah that is what I can do, I will start a fruit loaf now instead of later :)

  • lil_me - I hope you don't mind me saying but I think the best thing you can do is go back to bed and stay there until this phase passes!

    Afternoon all
Just a quick line in my lunch time. Saw this on the grabbit board, and although many of you I am sure go on regular, thought I'd just bring this one to your attention

Hope those under the weather are feeling better soon.

Need to pop out and see what I can grab from Boots across the road.

    Take care

    Thanks for this

I called Borders in Oxford Street, they are getting a ship load of them coming in at the end of the week and they are still selling them at £4.99.

I'm happy to buy several if anyone wants one PM me and I'll post them.

    Thanks

    Hi everyone.
Just a quick one as OH is in hospital, I had to do a 999 for him this morning as he had bad chest pains and couldn't breathe. He's on coronary care at the moment and I'm not allowed back until 3 o clock to see him as they don't allow visitors between 1 and 3, and so am packing bits and pieces to take.
I can't stay too long though as I have to get back to see to the kids, what a nightmare this is.

  • Just got back from the post office.

It is freezing out there, not raining thank goodness, but I'm chilled now. I think I'll take the advice given to Lil-Me and have a hot drink.

Can't watch Daytime TV though :( Got a Powerpoint presentation to type up.

    Anyway see you all later.

lil-me hope you're feeling better by this evening ((Hugs))

Smokybabe, that just puts my day into perspective, all these trivial things I am letting bug me, thinking of you and your OH. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Well DP just called, he's on way to cemetary, but he said in the service they mentioned how she thought of him as her grandson (her daughter is DPs step mother but can't have children) and our little ones as her Great Grandchildren, regardless of if they were 'officially' or not. I think he's pleased he went now, but it seems to have knocked him for 6 a little.
