Thinking of you too Smokybabe, its frustrating when the "professionals" just want you out of the way and you want to be there!

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Smokeybabe ((((((hugs)))))))) - if they won't ley you be there, it might be a good sign - it's when they let you be there 24/7 that it's serious IMO

Smokeybabe I just wanted to add that this is perfectly normal. My mum was in the cardiac care ward a few months ago and we weren't allowed in between 1 and 3 either. Cardiac care patients get very tired and it's to allow them to rest/sleep and also to allow consultants time alone with the patients when they do their rounds and they can't do this with visitors in there. It's for your DH's benefit really so they can take better care of him and he can get the rest he will need.

    ((((((((((((((((((((((smokeybabe))))))))))))))))))))))

Hope there is good news when you do get in to see OH.

Well I have cleaned the bathroom, bedroom and stairs, was horrified to find black mould all along the beaded edge of our laminate flooring under the window in the sitting room, we have always had a problem there but it seems to be getting worse, the beading has split in one place, quick call to the landlords agents I think!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doubt he will do anything but it will not hurt to complain........

Spent an hour in the back bedroom, am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, never thought it would take this long though.........need to sort through my books and re-arrange the shelves so they are all in the one place.

Right off to watch countdown and have a cup of earl grey..... decided on spag bol and garlic bread for supper tonight, made oranges in jelly for dessert, oh will have to have ice cream with his, refuse to buy more cream until I go shopping next Thursday................

    Cheers folks...............

((((smokey babe ))) try not to worry too much, your OH is in the best possible place if he has a problem. All of us on this site are here for you when you feel a need for a chat.

Just got back from DD's and small grandchilds, went to Chatham Outlet Centre and bought him some smart new shoes/boots .I think we may be getting some bad weather as it was trying to snow around 12.00 mid-day.He was a little angel and sat very still for a change, whilst he was measured.
£21.00 later we came out of the shop, and DD treated me to a latte and a toffee apple muffin, yummy, dearest muffin I've ever had !!
Just going to make some cottage pies to go into the freezer, and to bottle up some veggie soup that I made yesterday in the SC.
Very wet and cold and rainy at the moment ,I have the heating on so I am quite comfy .I may sit down later and watch my favourite cable station which is the crime and investigation network .Lots of gruesome crimes to solve .whilst I do some more knitting for the Linus project. I have a pile of knitted squares to go to the area co-ordinator shortly .
Good way to use up odds and ends of wool and in a good cause as well.
Roll on spring and some colour in the garden again ,mine looks bereft at the moment
    take care all xx

    Afternoon all!

Smokeybabe ((((hugs))))) to you both. Positive vibes for a speedy recovery.

Now Kazonline and moggins:naughty::naughty::naughty: I don't post early in the morning 'cos I'm either in the gym or in bed:D :D I have been a member of my gym for 5 years! I go 2 or 3 times [strike]sometimes[/strike] every week. Full of energy and enthusiasm I [strike]stroll on the treadmill while chatting to my friend[/strike] run so hard I am puffed out. Then I [strike]sit around on various contraptions[/strike] use the resistance machines to tone me up. During this time I have [strike]gained 2 stones[/strike] maintained a healthy body weight, every schoolboy knows that muscle weighs heavier than fat!! And I have the fittest most toned tongue in the whole of SE London! Do not mock the Churchmouse:D Now where's that cup of tea and welshcakes:p :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I got my new toy and it's amazing!!! :T :T (Steam generator iron for anyone who missed my riveting EARLY MORNING post):D :D I've had a play and it's wonderful, really gets rid of the creases easily. I ironed my 100% cotton bedding in a fraction of the time and it looks the best since it was new! My windows are all steamed up with condensation, but what the hell, they'll only take a minute to wipe down when I've finished. And on that note I'm going to go play with it some more:D

    Hope you enjoy your evenings,
