Hi everyone, the kids are finally in bed and I am exhausted. OH is comfortable, and in ccu currently waiting for a doctor to analyze his blood tests.
Apparently they have to wait 12 hours before they can do these tests?
His heart rhythm has come down from 170bpm to around 120bpm at the moment and he is on a drip with some medicine that should bring it back to normal. He is still not in sinus rhythm but they say it's looking a lot nearer normal than it was when he was admitted.
He frightened the life out of me this morning and allthough I am trained to deal with scenarios like this at work it's a whole new ball game when it's a member of your family. I never want to feel that kind of panic again.
My sister and brother in law have been brilliant today ferrying me to the hospital as it is some distance away, and intend to see to the kids tomorrow while I take the bus, as they are tied down car wise.
I've had a brief scan through the thread and many thanks for your words and best wishes, they are much appreciated and I am grateful.
I am going to check on the kids, pour a cold beer and have a good read through now.

Huge hugs to Smokybabe, and to all those of you feeling in need of a hug. Hope you have all had a good day.
Had a very non OS day today, am still feeling a little under the weather so am lying in bed using the laptop !! The housework will just have to wait another day.
Went to the doctors this morning for a review of my anti d's and he said I was looking much betterLooking to come off them in about 3 months time, which will be good provided I don't go back to being a complete lunatic again.
Have an interview for promotion at work on thursday as our leam leader is leaving. The other guy I work with is also going for it, which I guess is going to be awkard for whichever one of us doesn't get it.
Early night for me, then maybe tomorrow I won't be so knackered I can tackle that housework !!Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Smokybabe Sorry to here about your OH, hope he is ok and that you and the kids are bearing up, I’ll send healing to all of you this evening in my prayers.
Elaine373 It’ll be good to get your new PC and then we will see more of you.
Churchmouse your post about the gym made me laugh so much, where in SE London are you?
Welcome Toryb, it’s nice to see I’m not the newest person on here anymore, everyone is so friendly I love this forum.
Bargain Rzl ooh Jury service, been there done that 3 times over, called up over 5 times too and I’m only 31. Last time I was sitting there for the full 2 weeks and then got called on a case on the last day. Hope you’ve got a good book. I ended up taking a blown up pillow so I could grab 40 winks.
Anniebooklover see where you’re coming from on the typing front, a secretary’s job is never done. I had a similar job today, it’s due on Wednesday too.
Grannybroon Yes looks like I’m the guilty one there, after putting my picture up on that thread it caused that guy to start ranting cause some of you thanked me for putting it on. He even used my picture in a post to see if he’d get thanked. No one did though.
Loads of Bargains there Spendless

Well here I am again. No OS today apart from painting this morning and frozen dinners (freshed cooked, not ready meals) tonight and tomorrow.
Went to Lidls tonight for veg but nothing at all. They seem to have a huge supply problem - is it the storms and ships not getting over? They did still have special offers on due today though.
Still not giving the thanks but give love, thanks and hugs to all. Some of you regulars crack me up with what you are doing - love you lots.
Very cold here tonight in central Scotland. Might have to scrape tomorrow!

This will give you all a laugh - I dutifully ironed all the uniforms on Saturday. I ironed the trousers he brought to me, today he came home and said "Mum I need some new trousers" Whenever he sat down the trousers rode up and showed all his socks and half his shins. The silly beggar had only brought me the ones from last year! So now I have had to shove the wet ones in the dryer and can't go to bed until I have ironed them
Good job I have a good book to read. Just re-reading The Plains of Passage, can't wait to get onto The Shelter of the Stones again, that's my favouriteOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Mine is deferred from last May when I worked for an evil boss who put pressure on me not to take the time off work!
Re: good books etc: I did TWO Times Jumbo Cryptic Crosswords - by which I mean I completed one and gave up on the other! (I save them up when I don't get round to doing them on the day the paper comes out!) and now I am reading "Courtesans" by Katie Hickman (non-fiction). It's one of those books which I had been meaning to read for ages, had picked up from Smiths on one of those "buy a paperback from our selection for 99p" deals that the Times does from time to time. I'm glad to have the opportunity to read it, really! I didn't read much this afternoon as I got chatting to somebody. If I need more reading matter I have a veritable queue of literature standing neglected on my bookshelf
Sleeping is a good idea too, as long as I don't do what one woman did today and snore so loudly that I prevent everybody from concentrating on their books!
I have just had the yummiest mug of hot chocolate EVER, my sister gave me a Whittard's gift set for Christmas and this was my first sample of it... hmmm it's a HUUUUUGGE box...
smokybabe I'm glad OH seems to be doing better.

PS Bargain Rzl where are you doing jury service? I did it at Southwark Crown court many years ago. First day like you, nothing, but after that did 3 or 4 cases. Some were quite interesting!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
