ordered about 26th October and mine stated despatched 02/11/2011, they arrived this morning, I have since used the contact us, way to cancel as do not want to argue with sales persn on phone. It states online I have been charged £6.95/.99 have not checked bank account yet, but would rather pay the extra than be tied in to a further box. Sounds like they might be panicking how many getting the 1.95 box and trying to alter T&C's, so if you are brave (unlike me) stick to your guns and get it for the correct price.Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:0

Mine was dispatched on the 1st nov, however i'm not worried about it, as reading through the thread it takes a couple of weeks to get to you, no point in fretting over 1.95Lose 28lb 3/28lb

same here! chocs arrived yesterday. I checked my account online and it says they have charged me £6.95:eek: they are lovely chocs, but I would not have paid £6.95 for them! I think they have a cheek charging us £6.95 when it clearly states on the site we will be charged £1.95 - I have a screen shot too, but I can't be bothered to get into a heated debate with them over a fiver! I was going to fire off an e-mail, but I can't find an e-mail addy on the site. Seems a bit odd that you can't contact them by e-mail! I think I'm just going to close my account before they send me more chocs. Expensive chocs taste nicer when they cost less:)0 -

Got my box yesterday, quite dissapointed as most of the chocolates are alcoholic and I didn't realize... anyway, I just send the email to cancel the membership, hope it works!0

Just phoned and cancelled mine, was panicking after all of the angry cs responses others have received but I had a lovely lady that just asked for my details and cancelled no probs. I emailed from their site yesterday pm and received confirmation of cancelling my membership this morning, so this option is a nice easy way to cancel.
I have also now checked my bank statement and they have only taken the £1.95 not the £6.95 stated on my membership page on their website, so it was a mega bargain after all!Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:0 -
i am hoping mine will be in the post today so i can ring and cancel.
one thing that strikes me as odd is that people are saying they specified a type of box.... there wasn't anyway to do it on the original link... you just get the normal selection..0 -
Yesterday I email cs asking them to cancel my account in accordance with the terms and cond when I placed the order and I rec'd this email today:
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that your Chocolate Tasting Club membership has been cancelled and no further selections will be sent to you unless requested.
We are sorry to lose you as a member and hope that if you wish to purchase chocolates in future you consider doing so through our mail order service, Hotel Chocolat (www.hotelchocolat.co.uk), where you may find a selection more to your taste.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require further assistance.

Got my chocs yesterday and tried the tasting stick thingies last night and have to say I did not like them much.......far too bitter and rich for me....guess I am a chocolate pleb and will have to stick to Mars Bars!
About to email to cancel and was just wondering how you are all wording your emails? Are you giving a reason for cancellation?
