Claimed in April. Received 2 replies- 1 in my maiden name saying that LTSB were looking into it and 1 in my married name but wrong 1st name saying that I didnt have PPI. Called them and was told 2nd letter had been sent to me in error and was actually meant for another customer???
claim upheld letter dated 20th August and exact same letter dated 23rd August
Havent even had my calculation done yet.
Called on thusday and was told that there was an internal problem in August and some cases that should have been dealt with were overlooked but "dont take it personally":mad:
I can't believe what a farce this is turning into.0 -
I've contacted Loan centre today to find out if my loan has bee restructured yet, it hasnt!!
I've had my calculations letter nearly 6 weeks and Im still paying PPI every month.
Has anyone else had theirs restructured yet??0 -
Got my calculation letter dated August 14th. On their system it claims the letter was dated August 23rd. Called several times, but constantly fobbed off. No cheque yet. But my loan appears to have been restructured on October 18th? Can anyone tell me what relevance the restructuring may have.
Got to say this is a joke. There must be something we can do0 -
Claim sent at the beginning of June
Upheld letter 22 Aug.
Calculations 15 Sept.
I've tried emailing a couple of times and just get told they can't give any information over email because of data protection and suggest I phone, which I'm not going to do because of the cost.
It seems to me from reading this forum that the credit card claims are coming through, but not the loans. Anyone had a cheque from a PPI claim on a loan yet?
Is it a joke how we're being treated.0 -

They need to work out what your balance and new payments would be if you never had the PPI. When I called the loan centre they told me what the payments would be, she didnt understand why it was taking so long to do!!0 -
Thanks milkyshake. I take it then that the restructuring can only be a good sign? It seems a few people who had their offer letters in aug have had the loans restructured last week.
Surely if somebody was to send an ultimatum stating OUR payment terms, ie pay us the money you owe us or they'll be a daily charge added.
I really don't want them to get away with this. It's an absolute disgrace.0 -
Well, my girlfriend has been told by lloyds just now there is no priority list, it's all done in date order and they are printing 3000 cheques a day. They're roughly a month behind and you should get the money 6-12 weeks (working) after your calculation letter. He said they are doing beginning of August/mid August calc letters
yeah right.0 -

The impression I got when I called is that in most cases, it will be least 3 months from the date on the letter before payment date (mainly due to huge backlogs). I asked why then they were only calculating interest 4 weeks in advance and they were unable to tell me. I've sent another complaint letter for the additional interest to be taken into account. However, I've asked to treat this as a new complaint, so they don't recalculate the original claim. That would have meant I go back to the end of the payment queue.0 -
Sent of letter on 6th May
Received first letter on 30th August (the type you had to return the form)
Received next letter on 8th September (the type that gave the actual amount id receive)
Phoned on the 12th October (just said there is a backlog and there about 2months behind schedule.)0 -
Sent off questionnaire beginning of May 2011
Received upheld letter 28th August 2011 (With acceptance form to return but no amounts)
Received amount letter 8th Sept 2011 (With complete breakdown and no need to sent acceptance)
Phoned after 28days and was told it would be 6 to 8 weeks before cheque would be received due to backlog (6 weeks was 20th Oct, 8 weeks will be 3rd Nov.)
Fingers Crossed but won't hold my breath or I would suffocate. LOL!!!!!0
