Regarding losing weight, there are some clips on the BBC website from the Truth about Food programme which might help:
How to be slim
* Is my metabolism to blame for my weight?
* Does eating more calcium lead to weight gain?
* Can keeping a track of what we eat make a difference?
* Is there a healthy, pain-free way to lose weight?
* Does portion size affect how much we eat?
* Which type of food is the most filling?
* Can water help you lose weight?

Yes, the programme style is irritating and dumbed down, but there are some useful nuggets of info and tips, eg spinach as a good source of lutein for preventing age-related macular degeneration and general eye-health."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

of everything that comes along their way."

A dead cat with the same PHD - :rotfl: that's so funny.
With her knowledge, I bet McKeith could work towards an authentic doctorate without too much difficulty if she wanted to . She lives and breathes this stuff.0 -
