Morning all   ( will need to be quick for that to be true!!)
:bdaycake: nikki Hope you have a lovely day I always love birthdays that land on a weekend:j
((((((((((Ageandjo))))))))))) Thinking about you hun hope it went as well as something like that could go
Angelselondon - My SC stayed in the box for ages as I scrabbled around looking for perfect recipes - now I look in the fridge - chuck whatever is in there and hope for the best:D So far so good its always been fab.
Talking about SCs today I have chucked some chicken pieces (the surprise ones from the freezer yesterday:D ), some chick peas, onions and two potatos that were on the turn, a swig of white wine from the box in the fridge, a bit of paprika and a bit of chilli. If it turns out well I may patent the recipe and sell it on to Jamie for his next book:rotfl: I love my SC:D
Got to do some emergency cleaning today as i have a man coming to clean my carpets tomorrow. I did weigh up the cost and effort to do it myself but to be honest I think he will do a much better job and its the first time its been done since I put the carpets down (probably 4 years ago and they are beige!!) so I reckon I can justify it. Problem is theres a lot of tidying needed for him to do a good job so thats my afternoon then.
Out this evening for our Sunday Eat out club which is girls only has grown loads since we started (lol as have I:rotfl: ) Dont know where we are going yet but hopefully it will be the Italian where the scenery is lovely:T
Right off to make a start on the house then.
Have a lovely day all

Thanks all for the birthday wishes....so far I have got £65 (okay...I will have when grandad-in-law signs the cheque he sent me :rotfl: ) and a copy of "Diet Doctors Inside & Out" which I asked for :j My IL's have a pressie for me which I have to wait for until we next go up
Plus I haven't got cards from the rest of the family...BUT since we're going to Pizza Hut for dinner (not exactly the Ritz, but I love Pizza :rotfl: and we have a £10 voucher
) I'm hoping to pop into Argos and buy a slow cooker...and then next week (after the rest of my cards have arrived :rotfl: ) I'm going to buy myself this
I love kitchen stuff.
Nothing really planned for today except for my nighttime routines and changing DD's bed. Will make up for it tomorrow thoughRight...off to sort out DD's bed so I can have the rest of the day off :rotfl:

Pam, hope you're feeling better soon and the tablets start to 'kick in' take it easy.
Nicki sounds like a great day, enjoy your day offnever seen that mixer before, quite similar to the Chef isn't it but a lot cheaper, I couldn't believe how much they are, I stupidly turned one down a while ago.
One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Happy birthday Nicki,
(((hugs))) to ageandjo, snowyowl and anyone else who wants/needs them.
Bitterly cold here but no snow (yet) Hoping it comes and loads so we can have the day off school tomorrow(please!)
Had our family sports day (new years resolution - do something together every weekend) We went to badminton, I am rubbish - but so are kids DH did his best to manage us all !!!
Kids want to go shopping (on their own) at a shopping centre - for both our birthdays DH is 7th and mine is 14th feb) Bless them - every year they surprise me with a bunch of flowers or something from the local shop that they have bought with their pocket money. Am looking forward to see what they get but am a bit worried about letting them go around themselves. Still they are 12,10 and 8 - they will stick together and we will hang around waiting for them so I hope it will be fine.
Hope everyone has a good day xxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Hi everyone.
sons got up at about 5.50 am
They both ate a whole clove of raw garlic each and they STINK!
DH did roast beef and yorkshire pud for lunch, I have done loads of washing, mopped the hall and the front door, and have to do a bit of hoovering later. Got rid of loads of clutter and am now off to rest with a real coffee and watch the chronicles of Banania (thats what they call it) with my smelly boys and my not smelly hubbyMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!

mmmm pizza hut
so not OS...but so good.
we went there recently just for a meal out as a family. something we rarely do because of shifts etc.
the meal deal is good value. 4 starters 2 pizzas 4 deserts and unlimited lemonade. We always ask for the spare pizza to be put in a box to take homex x x0 -
What a lovely sunny afternoon!
I had to buy my seed potatoes this morning and thought that as I was going to Asda in the car anyway,I'd see wether homebase across the road did them.
They did YAY! so saved another car trip later on.
We were getting a little low on stores so today was quite a big shop for me ,a whole £26 .
I did try to use my £1 off Listerine voucher but the cashier said they have all been told now that they are not to take any coupons from the internet(even though mine was posted to me) and will now only accept vouchers for the product if you buy it, healthy living vouchers??? and Asda vouchers.
They aren't even allowed to accept cheques now either!
So look out if you usually factor in the discount from coupons to make ends meet!!
This afternoon ,I walked into town to continue my 5 times a week walk(new years resolution) and picked up my onion sets £1 per 100 in wilko's and 16 christmas crackers for 50p (75% off). I took advantage of the bogof on their seeds too and bought a packet of carrot seeds and one of cabbage for 39p the 2.
OH is doing Sunday tea today, roast pork etc with bread and butter pud for afters. YUMMY!
Yesterday i started digging this years potato bed over. It is the bit I didn't get round to digging last year. The fence is down at the back of our garden again and OH has asked the owners of the fence to please put it up again when they have the chance. He's happy to help with it . Last year he had to do it himself as we couldn't find out who owned it but this year I asked the land registry and they are certain it isn't ours.
DD has done her AS exams now until May but DS is doing his A2's this week and next so is busy revising.
Have a good week everyone
