Hi everyone, this is early for me, on any day.

(((Big hugs))) to anyone who needs them, who is suffering this awful flu, bought down by this awful weather, or having some major life crisis to deal with - (((big hugs)))

Spent yet another day cleaning and painting yesterday - generally getting this place to look like a show house for the photos tomorrow.

Today is more cleaning and OH sorting his rooms out. Should be down to maintenance cleaning from now on but I would like them to live outside so it stays nice!:D

    Today's meals

Pineapple and Pomegranite juice - mixed 2 juices
Porridge with maple syrup, got free with Tesco voucher
    Lady Grey tea

Later will be nachos and cheese, using the cheese mountain from Christmas. Needs to be quick if we are doing lots of physical work around the house. But at least we are using up leftovers,

Feel guilty, had to throw some aubergines and carrots out I had since Christmas. At least with junk food, it doesn't perish. I have been so busy and sometimes too ill to do so much preparing. Maybe once things settle, I can go back to more OS cooking.

Last night had some convenience food from M&S which was paid for by vouchers earned on our Goldfish credit card. It was nice but feel the quality of their food is going downhill. The raspberry royale was scrummy though:). Had a cheap bottle of pink Cava with it which was great:)
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

    Morning everybody :hello:

Happy birthday nicki - you've caught up with me :D

Just to pick up on a couple of points from yesterday's thread:
Bloke and I went to a Tesco near St Pauls one weekend and it was soooo cheap 10p for a sandwich which was 3 days in date, loads of great deli foods. No one is around at the weekend in the city so the Tesco's reduce everything and put new fresh stuff back on the shelves on Monday because of the customer.
Yes, the City ones are best for this reason, plus because of the high proportion of rich clientele, they stock the premium ranges so there's a lot of Tesco Finest or Organic stuff to be had ;)
We live in Blackheath, I get loads of bits from See Woo around the corner, it's a massive Chinese warehouse, worth a look even cheaper than Netto.

It's just around the corner from Asda in Charlton and Sainsbury in Greenwich.
Thanks for that! I didn't know it was there TBH - I used to shop at that Sainsburys and Asda occasionally as I used to live in Welling and if the trains were dodgy, or I needed to get something from Argos or TK Maxx or whatever, I used to go home via the Jubilee Line/486 bus and stop off at the shops on the way. I think Penny-Pincher will be interested to know about this place too, if she doesn't know it already - her husband often uses those shops.

I love Blackheath, you're lucky living there! Nice independent shops, all that open space, and so close to Lewisham for all the decent public transport... Before Welling I lived in Catford and before that, Ladywell (which is my favourite neighbourhood I've ever lived in)
Just another thought, are you coming to the group meet on the 10th? Bloke and I are intending to go.
Going? I'm organising it :D:p See you there!

Just sitting on the sofa having my morning cuppa before going for a shower. Need to leave the flat at 9:05 ish - there's a fine line on a Sunday morning - about eight minutes' walk down the road there is a choice of two buses I can get to church (for 10am choir practice) but of course s0d's law dictates that they leave my local stop at almost exactly the same time. I've only lived here two months and already I've lost count of the number of times I've walked to the end of my road only to see both buses pulling away! It's a 30-ish minute trip and the next bus would be too late

((((hugs)))) to ageandjo and to anybody who's not feeling well.

    Catch you later

    Love Rzl xx

  • Morning everyone,

I didn't get much done yesterday as I was too lazy and unmotivated and now feel disgusted with myself!

Today, I am going to do a quick whizz-round and then OH and I are going to the pictures to see 'The Last King of Scotland'. Then back here, he'll laze about on the sofa (and not feel at all guilty, how can they do that?), while I do more housework.

Feeling much more energetic and not sick today, please, please let me have turned that corner!

Penny-Pincher!! - So glad to hear you are feeling a bit better today. Good luck at the hospital tomorrow.
Ageandjo - Thinking of you and your relatives at this difficult time. Much love and hugs to you.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICKI!!

    Love to you all

    Happy birthday Nikki

Snowy - hope you feel better soon. Flu is awful.

Household still in Jammies. Need to sort that out. Got a massive pile of ironing. Might do that this evening once kids are bathed and watching a film.

Also need to brave the supermarket. Right - off I go.

    Arrrgh!

Was supposed to be at w**k over an hour ago but am having one of those horrible sneezing fits that just won't stop and give you a blistering headache icon9.gif

Any ideas for getting it to stop anyone? It's getting silly now, I've run out of tissues and am now halfway through a roll of loo paper opened this morning!

I even sneezed in my breakfast and had to bin it - sorry, you didn't want to know that, did you. :o
