We've got horrendous wind back again, no chance of any washing going outside in that. And weather warnings for rain for tonight. O happy day. I'm just glad I dont live in Orkney or Shetland, they must be stapling down the coos by now!0

Weve had a beautiful day here, wall to wall sunshine but with a nip in the air, a real good drying day...........Ive been a busy bee today, I was awaiting a delivery for a bed base for our mattress, I decided to order one that had 4 drawers in (divan), because I was finding it so hard to find storage for heavy blankets and fleeces, plus Ive got loads of bedspreads, so ive been at it in the bedroom for quite a few hours.:eek:.I had to screw the wheels on, then put a bracket on to keep the 2 parts together ,then make the bed up then do all the storage bit, quite easy to fill 4 deep drawers.........................
Then in the sitting room I went cos ive got 2 really nice chests, I bought them secondhand like I do most of my furniture, but they are dark wood, they do polish up beautiful, I had so much stuff in all the drawers I must have found 30 pens without a word of a lie...:o......I love shabby chic stuff, so yesterday I went to our local furniture secondhand shop and found just what I was looking for its a small french 3 drawer chest very cute and a console table all in distress white wood to match, im getting them tomorow.........
So I texed my neighbour and said "do you want 2 dark wood chests "( cheap) so round she come and said she would have them both , so ive been emptying them this arvo, cant wait for my chic stuff, I wanted to go a lighter colour, I know all this dark wood polish up lovely but it dont half darken a room, so im all cream/white and gold tomorow,:TI get so excited about buying cheap goods and cleaning them up, im losing quite a bit of cupboard space but that way I wont be able to clutter them up.............................:D.
Well its December 1 st tomorow so I expect we shall all see a lot of decorations going up in and outside of peoples homes, it hopefully will make all the doom and gloom not seem so bad, im definately not going to even mention our global economy today its too depressing..............I hope your all well and keeping warm now that the weather is cooler and more seasonal...........:D0 -

O snot fair !! Once again we've got awful winds, rain battering down and I wish I had curtains that shut, just to keep out the noise. It gets scarey when wind roars.I think I want to dig a hole and get in it0

I was about to sympathise...I thought Mardy said that SHE had horrendous wind....... :rotfl:0

....... so ive been at it in the bedroom for quite a few hours.
:lipsrseal :rotfl: Must not say it...............
Humble apologies for causing any offence earlier. Not intended whatsoever.
I would like to point out that there was absolutely no chanting involved though being as we were outside the hospital and it's not really appropriate. I would never force my opinions onto others especially not a child. He was given the choice of coming with me or going with his Dad to work. DD chose to go to school.
DS had swimming earlier and there were only 2 of them there, I have no idea where the others were but the lady at reception said it was really quiet all day today. Having seen Martin's facebook page, it seems the whole world was out shopping.
My hands are in tatters as MiL and I have stripped all of the wallpaper from the hallway today. I will pop out in a bit and start giving it one of the many coats of white paint it's going to need in order to make it somewhat presentable. At least once it's got the coats of paint on, I'll be able to see dents and dints so I can patch fill them. Anything to stop DH feeling he has to plaster it as he'll keep complaining about it. I may yet decide to paper it with lining paper to insulate it a little and hide some of the cracks. The ceiling has wood chip wallpaper on it so I shall be repainting that for now. T'was indeed the posh one
It made me laugh how many people were walking round looking in trolleys!!!
Needless to say, once I found my bargains, I hid them under the other stuff so nobody could grab it when I wasn't looking :rotfl:0
