Dinner tonight will be a cauliflower and broccolli cheese, but I need to use up all sorts of other fridge ends in it, like a bit of ham, and some pasta. kate

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Guess who didn't get a chance to do her menu plan yet and is too tired to think properly? I've got all of these in the fridege so we'll have the same. May not use pasta as I need to use up tons of veggies but, we shall see.
Keep your fingers crossed that I manage to make it ok this time because the last few times I've made it, I've ended up with a runny manky sauce :o.

Very strong winds here, *may have blown themselves out by now but don't want to jinx myself*. The yellow ball has just popped his head around the side of the door to say "night then everyone!" and is heading off for the night.

MiL has just bought a new car (yesterday) and been charged 3 times for it on her card. She's having a nightmare with it and is now trying to get her money back. They want 5 days but she's been overcharged by £12,000 . No way would I be able to cover that for a week. Can you imagine the charges on that size of unauthorised overdraft? Saying that, she must have the money in her account because I'm sure it wouldn't let you go that overdrawn on a card payment without an OD would it?

This happened to me and I phoned them up and explained the situation. They then let me pay the reduced rate. I believe they take photographs of the ticket on the car to prove they put it there.

You could suggest she ask for photographic evidence... If I were her thats what I would do... Does she remember parking where she shouldn't have? If she does then might as well pay up, if she doesn't then I would go to court and argue my point.

Thanks for that. The photographic evidence is an interesting one! In her opinion she wasnt parked illegally so she is going back to where she thinks she was and going to take her own photographic evidence and make her case from that. I did ask for photographic evidence for a speeding penalty once - not becasue I was questioning it but neither me or my OH could remember who was driving - they dropped it. It was suggested that this was because the picture they had wasnt clear enough to identify driver........... I have another friend who always insists on the photo ( not that he makes a habit of speeding BTW!) for the very same reason as I have said above. Worth keeping in mind if you think you have been wronged

Weightwatchers have an application where you can log your intake and it can tell you either in calorie or points value. I really should go back to using it - costs £9.95 per month and it scares me into eating properly.

Sorry I can't answer your question M but you may well have prompted me to reform my ways!

p.s. the yellow ball has drowned - somewhere in Central Scotland

I use weightwatchers too - not so much to lose weight but to maintain it. The minute i stop writing it down I start to gain.

I have an apple and cinnamon diffuser thingy in my spare room and it always makes me think of Christmas (especially after I knocked it over and spilt half the contents on the carpet :D)
