not strange but I hate being late to the point if travelling by plane I will stay in airport hotel the night before and have been known to stay up all night as scared will oversleep on the day.
Can get worked up in to a frenzy if even think I will be late due to events beyond my control when travelling to work or anywhere. Whereas my parents are dreadful Mum has a habit of calling to say can we alter table if booked so taken to telling her 1 hr earlier than things are for my sanity, my ex hubby leaves home at the time he is supposed to be somewhere if it is local and my late father 10 mins meant and hour .........all of which drive me crazy. Cannot see the need to be late yet witness it with so many even at work - why not just leave earlier.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -
Churches (large ones, can cope with small ones!) and big buildings generally. Horrible things!0

Greetings card shops. I hate them. I think it's got something to do with being overwhelmed by choice. Urgh!"It's official, MSE's harbouring total fruitcakes">^..^<0

Mine is (embarrassingly) ice! I HATE the noise of scraping ice to the point that I think I'm going to be sick. I can't go in a freezer unless what I want is right in front of me and won't touch ice when I take it out. If anyone crunches ice I have to leave the table, that advert for the sensitive toothpaste where the woman eats ice to prove it works has me with my eyes squeezed shut and my fingers in my ears!
If I have ice in a drink I have to have a straw with it so it doesn't touch my teeth. My pregnant sister has just started having cravings for ice cubes. When she was telling me I'd dug my fingernails into my palms so hard there were really deep marks on them!
I'm weird!0 -
Daddy long legs. I've got better at quietly but quickly leaving the room if one gets in rather than screaming
Discovered the only way to dispose of the indestructable little b*****s is by vacuum. I still shudder at the memory of walking across a field (in a skirt) and a whole cloud of them flew up from the ground
Stairs and steep hills. Earliest memory is of falling down both flights of stairs at home so not surprising really!
Not a phobia but dragonflies creep me out - they look too prehistoric, like they shouldn't be in this time period.0 -
Shopping.
Christmas shopping :eek:0 -
Beards. It's been a lifelong phobia - I was one of those kids who found Santa scary! These days I'm fine with the sort of close-cropped beards which don't actually change the face shape, but those long bushy Bin Laden type beards still bother me.
I'm also terrified of Balaclava's and unnerved by people wearing motorcycle crash helmets.....all fears relating to people's faces being hidden, really.0 -
Shellsuit- I detest wind turbines too, they could actually reduce me to tears just thinking about them
and I have no idea why. Last year we went to Anglesey and there were some and I was totally freaked out by them! I am okish if they are in the far distance, but any closer and
I also have an irrational fear of slugs, apple cores and banana skins...bonkers!!0 -
am with ya on bananas but the whole bananas and also hot dogs bloody awful things, am greatful for online shopping, at my local morrisons they seem to stack them all up at the end of the milk lane just to scare the !!!!!! outta you when you least exspect it.
Also people dressed up as big animals or toys, like in a big panda suit, or teddy bear collecting for charity.
I actually have a few more but they are the oddest0
