people do get all dramatic when they are wrong . I hate it when the children get dragged in to back up their weak case. Human rights blah blah

Imho, Senor Stefano Brozzoni made a total !!!! of himself with that letter.

    Don't you mean "Monsieur" :p;)

    However, I do totally agree.
"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

    Dramatic statrements such as:

I'm shocked, though, that his full name, address and the names of his 2 children are shown in the article.
A quick check on his name shows he has been in court before for illegally registering domain names such as "Mumm-Reims", "ChampagneKrug" or "ChampagneMoët" so he is not quite your average 'joe public'.

I'm not sure I do, actually.

With a name like Stefano Brozzoni & kids called Arturo and Alessandro (which sounds Italian to me), travelling from a Spanish airport and a French adress it could be Monsieur, Senor or Signor. :)

Ryanair Bag Gestapo out in force in Dublin this afternoon. Seemed to be picking on thin people......loads of oversize bags were stuffed into the overhead lockers......they appear to enforce the rule randomly.

At the end of the day it is a "rule"

It's better for the consumer if they do "enforce" it randomly.

It's pretty clear as far as what you are allowed to take on board. If you want ot take a chance then that's up to you. Just don't cry if you get caught out, please!

I've been on roughly 16 flights with Ryanair and I've never seen hand luggage weighed at the gate. On 1 of the flights, hand luggage wasn't checked at all unless it looked obscene (presumably they were running late and in a hurry). On the other 15, they made everyone with wheeled cases put it in the metal cages to check the size (not weight) and waved anyone wearing backpacks straight through.

On hundreds of Ryanair flights I've seen every bag checked and weighed many times and individuals 'singled out' on most flights now.
It varies from time by day, airport, where you are in the queue and how tight the departure time is and by my obsevations how you are dressed. A suited chap with businesslike appearance at the front of the queue seems less likely to be singled out than others unless his bag was obviously taking the p*ss.
Dublin, Leeds, Cork and Bristol can be very 'vigilant' when it comes to bags.
