How strict are Ryanair with cabin luggage pls?

Pre-assigned seating slows down boarding, that's why they don't use it in the first place. Lack of overhead locker space is a common problem with every airline if the plane is close to full, also airlines that allow free checked bags. It's annoying but I've yet to see a flight be delayed because of it (that's not to say it hasn't happened of course). I've never seen anyone needed to be persuaded to take middle seats, on Ryanair or any other airline. The closest I've experienced was a family that refused to be split up, despite the fact they were the very last to board. In the end, other passengers moved around for them.
I used to fly Air Fungus every week, now I fly Ryanair every week. Fungus load the rear of the plane first, meaning that everyone is messing around with their carryon at the same time by their seats, rather than Ryanair the passengers taking seats at the front of the plane and back of the plane block any more passengers from getting on.
Theres never much more than a dozen people checking in luggage on Ryanair at £50 return, so everyone now has a carryon, and inevitably there only room at the opposite end of the plane to the seats.
On Ryanair, passengers now hang around the front and middle of plane waiting for the premium seats to be opened up, rather than take middle seats.
The most amusing thing to see once the plane is say 80% full, and only middle seats left, is people who boarded at the front heading towards the back, trying to pass the people who boarded at the back heading towards the front.....all looking for aisle seats, or seats together.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
We're off to Morocco soon and I'll be taking my DSLR. I know that camera bags count as cabin luggage, but I have a holster for mine which fits on belt loops. I assume this would not be counted, but are Ryanair likely to get stroppy about it?0

You are allowed handbag + 10k bag iirc. Just get an extra handbag/manbag and put DSLR in there for safeties sake (assuming you/partner wouldn't be taking one anyway.)0

Wearing said bagel (eg in pocket) is permitted though. Wearing holsters I suspect is also permitted.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

My wife took her handbag as well as her cabin bag a couple of weeks ago
I did tell her that she wouldn't get past the gate unless she put it in her hand baggage.
"rubbish" she said and promptly swung it round her back and put her jacket on top - that'll teach me to be so clever0 -
So, it's fingers crossed, then? lol
I'll let you know how it goes when I get back.0
