I have nothing against sensible private parking enforcement but it just seems to be a way for all the companies concerned to make money out of the public
In this case Travelodge will probably refer to Moto who will probably refer to CP Plus who will mention appeals to the BPA who will turn it down - I hope I am wrong and Travelodge will be honourable.
    Can we complain to our MP's - I don't think so -
Years ago in a referendum we voted to join the commmon market, now it is totally out of hand and somehow we are in "Europe"
The public want another referendum to vote on whether we should be in "Europe"
All three of the major parties do not want and will not allow us to have this vote
So much for democracy - party politics ruins all that
We are told that it will be disaster for us if we withdraw
    Is Switzerland in economic crisis?
    Greenland left the EEC
Norway had a referendum and did not join - are they in a financial crisis
seems like "Europe" was a club with France providing agriculture and Germany providing industry and everyone else clamouring to jump on the bandwagon - the hangers on
We joined in error perhaps thinking that Britain would get all those thick foreigners organised - no German efficiency, No French obstinacy, just observe the rules
Only we don't really know if we want to be in this club or whether the top members treat us seriously
HMRC guards our borders ensuring that Free Trade does not apply to the working man's pleasures - booze and tobaccp
Employers welcome low paid labour from wherever
Shops cannot sell a pound of apples
Sorry, I just had to get this of my mind!
Now whatever happened to the UK independance Party?

A note for the Op, on this Ignore them as advised, correspondence only encourages them, Travelodge don't give a dead dingo's knacker, as long as people stay in their accommodation, They will absolve themselves of responsibiklity and pass you on to the car park management. You will just waste time complaining
  • Thanks Robredz,
everyone else seems bored with my dilemna
    It's probably me
I was once in a second hand bookshop and saw abook called "How to make decisions"
Would you beleive I couldn,t make up my mind whether to buy it or not

In amongst junk mail received today was a second letter from CP PUS
    Nerves of steel - DLTBGYD - ......
  • Following suggestions from lots of people I contacted Travelodge through their web site and got an automated reply saying to contact the particular Travelodge direct
Spoke to a very nice lady there who said to ring CP Plus to get the charge cancelled
Spoke to a helpful man at CP Plus who said I should send them an email
Reluctantly sent an email giving only the barest details
Received a prompt reply containg a cancellation ands apology
WISH I HAD DONE THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!
    Contents of the emails:

Email sent to CP Plus 1 November 2011:

    From: XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Sent: 01 November 2011 16:48
    To: Appeals (PCN)
    Subject: PCN XXXXXXXXXXXX

Just spoken to Christie at Travelodge Medway who said to ring you on 0845 303 2959
and quote Travelodge Booking Number XXXXXXXX 30 September 2011
to enable you to cancel the above PCN

Phoned and spoke to Daniel who advised that you no longer do this by phone
    He said to email you.

So this email is as requested.
    Please therefore cancel your PCN

    Thanks and regards

Email reply received from CP Plus 2 November 2011:
