You maybe work for TL or Moto

    Now you`ve resorted to tripe.

I have always received good service from TL and use them up and down the country on a regular basis and have never encountered such a problem.
They would be well aware that where there`s parking restrictions they need your car reg.

The car park adjoining the hotel is owned by Moto and operated on their behalf by CP Plus. All Travelodge customers travelling by motor vehicle must enter their vehicle registration number into the console at hotel reception when checking in. This will ensure free parking for the duration of your stay. Failure to do so may result in an administration fee of £15. Travelodge Hotels Ltd will not be liable for any fines incurred. Travelodge customers do not need to pay and display.

The above is from TL`s website regarding Bridgwater M5.

Like a lot of others on these boards, the OP didn`t read the clear information and it`s everyones fault bar his.

What !!!! He used a TL without reading the website info properly !!! How dare he !!!!!
Deserves everthing he get's then !!! NOT

..the OP has made a mistake ( I bet you never have )..aided and abetted by an incompetent TL employee who I would venture had a duty of care to his customer to remind him to enter his reg no. !!

Furthermore if genuine TL customers park free and the OP is demonstrably such a customer why are the parking [STRIKE]scammers [/STRIKE] oops, company, still pursuing the charge? ..He doesn't owe anyone anything !!!

Pretty obvious, he got the answer in the very first reply and here we are 57 pots later still posting.
But he`s laughing his socks off in some dark travelodge room.

    Booked on line with Travelodge
Web page for the location said free parking
Booking confirmation and invoice from Travelodge did not mention any restrictions on parking
Arrived in the early hours of the morning via an access road
Did not arrive via motorway exit to service area
Parked outside front door of travelodge
Did not see any signs about restricted parking
Entered travelodge - about 1 minutes walk
    Woke up receptionist
Ttold receptionist about long drive to get there
No notices in reception about parking
No information offered by receptionist about parking
    Left Travelodge the following morning
    No one in reception
    Went direct to car
    Left promptly by same route
Did not enter service area or or motorway entrance
Received a parking charge notice by post addressed to the keeper of the car
    WHAT I HAVE LEARNED SINCE
Travelodge reception should have informed me about the parking restrictions and asked for my regn number
Travelodge web site does mention CP Plus but in their information section mentions Brittania Parking
Almost everyone on this thread has said ignore any letters from CP Plus and do not identify my self in any way
opinion about appeals seems to be do not bother appealing to PC Plus or the BPA because thet are always rejected
    BUT
I am worried about the matter and wish that I could refer it to an absolutely independant and impartial body so that it can be resolved fairly quickly
    AND
I am more than upset by PC Plus acting as a judge and jury and apparently claiming powers and authority that they do not possess

The only independent adjudicator of this is a County Court , if CP plus dare to take you there , which is very very very unlikely ..even if they did they have almost 0% chance of winning ..which they know.
So just relax and ignore them.

Extract from Travelodge web site terms and conditions about a minute ago:
    Do you offer car parking?

We offer car parking facilities at most of our hotels. In some cases these are free of charge but in most cases charges apply for the use of these facilities. Full details of car park availability is available from the hotel information pages on our website. This details availability and charging and should be referred to in all cases.
In some locations car parking is managed by a third party company, Britannia Car Parking Limited.

and on the hotel information page:

    Parking Details

Travelodge car park has 30 spaces free of charge, available on a first-come first-served basis.

Yes it's all very clear - silly me

I can well understand your worry over this matter but you have been well assured by various posters to try and basically forget the matter and to ignore any further correspondence from these vultures.

If you put something like "parking ticket" into the forums search box above there are some excellant posts and advice all to do with these vultures who are basically conmen.
