I parked in the Travelodge car park ata space immediately in fron of their front door. That person has now received a parking charge letter from CP Plus for £80/£50. Is there any point in contacting Travelodge and asking them to sort it out or should that pertson just ignore the letter? ALSO has anyone else had the same experience and what happened?
So it wasn`t you who got the parking charge letter but "a person".
Do you know "that person" ?
What Travelodge was it?0 -

What Travelodge was it?What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Don`t talk tripe.
The OP doesn`t make sense, either he got a ticket or he didn`t and if he didn`t what`s all the fuss about.
I`ve never been to a TL and NOT been asked for my reg if it was needed.
It`s standard practice at check-in and now there is a machine in some of them sat on the counter that you can hardly miss plus plenty of warning signs about how long you may stay (usually 2 hours free).0 -

Completely irrelevant and none of your business. Someone got a 'ticket', that's all we need to know - but it was just a bogus one anyway.
And it is NOT down to the customer to ensure that the standard check-in procedure is completed - it's down to the Travelodge staff member of course!
And how exactly does '2 hours free parking' (big deal) help someone who is staying overnight in what was advertised as a TL with a free car park?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You`ve only got the OP word for that0 -
2010, the point you appear to be missing is that NONE of the detail matters.
Even if the OP had said it was him driving, and that he had deliberately typed the wrong car reg into a machine shoved under his nose by the TL reception person, we would STILL have said:
SCAM, ignore it.
That's all the OP needs to know and we had enough information just from the thread title alone. None of the detail matters at all - once a fake PCN, always a fake PCN.
You maybe work for TL or Moto - if so surely you can see that PPCs modus operandi is anti-customer service and a complete scam akin to a protection racket? Hotels, retailers etc. need to scrape the PPC parasitical scum off their shoes TBH, before customer numbers are affected, as they will be in the long run.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

By warning sign, I assume you mean contract.
What do you think the wording of the contract may have been?0 -

More talking tripe.
You were told the answer in the very first reply but since then you`ve done nothing but rant posts.
IGNORE IT, CAN`T BE MUCH CLEARER THAN THAT.0 -
