Why can't they make the Ts&Cs for these offers crystal clear?! Or do they deliberately make them open to mis-interpretation :mad:0

I'm starting to think I won't be getting it either, as I read it as calendar months - to be fair I think it needed to have been more specific
My dates are:
16/11 - switch date
17/11 - £800 deposit
06/12 - £800 deposit
04/01 - £800 deposit0 -
Well I just phoned CS - she seemed to think I'd met the eligibility but payments can be anytime between 15th feb and 15th March - so I guess will just have to wait and see.0

I called today as I was told last time I called that I would get my incentive by "the end of February". The person I spoke to seemed very confused and ill-informed. He first checked I was eligable and confirmed that I was, but also told me that a load of letters have just been sent out, telling customers that they are not eligable, even though they are. He said I would receive such a letter in the next few days, but to ignore it.
I will be making another £800.00 deposit at the start of March, just in case, and that will mean I have made deposits of this amount in five different calender months; slightly more than the three they apparently requested on application. I'm just not willing to take a chance and possibly lose my £200.00! Oh, did I mention the customer services advisor also claimed I had no direct debits or standing orders on this account at one point?
I was getting a bit frustrated so pressed him for the date I would be paid. He was unable to give me an answer, and unable/unwiling to put me through to anyone else, saying that nobody in the entire organisation knows the dates when incentive payments will be made. His best estimate was "around about the 15th of March, as you switching was completed on the 15th of November".
I couldn't understand how nobody there knows when payments are made. If it's done automatically, then it will be down to a computer programme, and if it's done manually, surely there's some sort of organisation behind it. Either way, not the kind of organisation I'd expect from a bank that is responsible for a lot of people's money!0 -
What, if any, is the difference betweeen "completion date" and "transfer date"?
My transfer date was 17th Nov, and I paid £800 in on 24th Nov, 23rd Dec & 28th Jan but no £200 yet in my acccount...Debt: September 28th 2009 £0!!!!! Finally!
[strike]March 30th 2008 £5,350[/strike]
[strike]September 29th 2008 £7,800[/strike]
[strike]January 1st 2007 £21,000[/strike] (Max debt)
Original DFD target was end Aug 20090 -
Been thinking about this throughout the day and am wondering, if the payment has to be within a month of completion date (e.g. 15/11/11 - 14/12/11) that would suggest Novembers payment would have to be some time from 16th Nov onwards until the 14th December but what if the completion date was 29th Nov? How would you make a payment in Feb that was before this date???0

According to the legal definition of month, November's payment would have to be done from the 16th to the 15th of December, and not the 14th of December. This is at least my interpretation of the law.0
