You cant just register a complaint with FOS.
You have to complain in writing. Then reach deadlock/final response.
Get a grip you will get your money soon
Yeah, I know how to make a complaint to the FOS, I've done so before, successfully when they found in my favour for £2,000 mis selling of an endowment! If you read my post properly you will see I said my LETTER will be in the post. The tone of your post is unpleasant and if you haven't got anything of any worth to say, keep it to yourself!!0 -

The CS rep said she totally agreed with me, and couldn't understand why I'd had the letter, but eventhough they'd checked my payments were correct still wouldn't confirm whether or not they'd be paying the £200.0 -
ah ok, that's what I called "completion date". If you have done payment monthly I think this is really ridiculous! You should try to complain!
Does anyone else think it is worth the stress of following my situation up? It boils down to the definition of 'following the date' I guess but I do note that my first DD actually went out on the 9th?0 -

Umm this is what is says in the letter i got origionally:-
'we have contacted the DD companies with your new account details.....so all payments should be transferred by 10/11/12'
'as a thank you ...we will reward you with £200. To benefit from the limited offer you must pay in at least £800 into your account every month for three months following the date given above'
What the customer service lady has just said is that i should have paid in on the 11th not the 10th. I have made subsequent payments each month to date so have made more than 3 BUT they argue that i didnt make a payment in november AFTER the 10th (which i did not make any more november payments other than the 10th).
Pays to read the small print over and over again I guess!!
That is why I was asking if someone knew how to interpret "month"... do they mean "30 day period" or "calendar month"? My completion date was on the 15th of Nov and I only made one payment before that in Nov, but made a couple before the 15th of December.
It also seems fair to say that if the completion date is on the 29th of a given calendar month or so, you're left with not many options to make the minimal payment on that calendar month.
I fear that I will also find bad news when I check my mail box this evening.0 -

Difficult one to call really. My sitation's different in that I did make the payments within the time constraints (and am still doing so), so they have not got a leg to stand on with a complaint. The letter does say "following the date given above".0 -

Just had a call back from the co-op (have to admit that I am impressed with their customer services staff). They told me that they are looking into this issue as they have had a lot of calls about people in the same situation. They will get back to me once it is clarified (fingers crossed for a glimmer of hope then!)0 -

From the FSA handbook:
The FSA's handbook says that a "month" means a "calendar month". So we apply the ordinary legal meaning of a calendar month. This means that ordinarily a calendar month finishes on the corresponding date of the following month. But if the calendar month starts at the end of a month which contains more days than the following month, then it finishes at the end of the following month. And so:
Six months from 7 May 2008 is 7 November 2008 (and not the 6 November 2008).
Six months from 30 August 2008 is 28 February 2009 (as there is no 30 February 2009).0 -
The Co-Op couldn't help me specfically, but they did say they had received many calls, asking for when they would receive their £200.C'mon you Canaries!!0
