It was definitely on a month basis based on switch completion date as my completion date was 17/11, but I didn't transfer the first £800 until the first week of December. In the meantime I received a letter in the post from co-op reminding me that I needed to make the first payment into the account by 16/12 in order to get the £200 bonus. So that should pretty much settle that argument ;)

P.S. No £200 here yet, hopefully next week at some point!
  • Yes that is what I thought.

    I received my £200 today.

    Completion date 14/11/11.
  • just checked and got mine today aswell
  • I've got mine!!! My completion date was 18/11/11

Seems to me CO-OP are honouring customers who completed later rather than earlier?

My switch was confirmed on the 26 Oct 2011

No bonus received as of yet...

Very nice of them to warn you! I doubt that other banks would do the same, as my partner experienced last year with Santander using all kinds of low tactics to refuse paying the £100 incentive.

I am now a little more confident that I also will get the £200. :j

I dont remember getting a completion date. However I know I applied about 26th October and they gave me the ₤200 today.

  • I've not yet received anything. I Paid my first £800 in on 30/11/11 when I first got paid after opening my account. I am not sure when my transfer date was. Will dig the letter out tomorrow to check.

Received mine Thursday, switching completion date according to the letter was 11/11/2011.
  • Typically, our completion date was about 2-3 weeks after applying. For most of us, our completion date will have been mid to late November. This is not the same as the date we applied, or the date we completed the switching form. Just trying to clear up some apparent confusion.

No £200 here yet either, completion date was 24th Nov.
