So if I applied for the account before the 21st but haven't started the switching process yet (can't because I haven't received any details other than an approval notice), I'm screwed?

EDIT: Never mind, the Co-Op website says this:
Customers who have applied online for a new current account, Current Account Plus, Privilege or Privilege Premier current account between the 17th October and 21st October are still eligible for the Get £200 incentive by completing a full switch (a full switch means all Direct Debits and/or standing orders which must include a minimum of 2 Direct Debits and/or standing orders) from another provider using our dedicated switching service within 14 days of account opening.

    :)

Can I assume the three months that require the £800 funding commence November?
A lot of people won't be able to switch a salary payment before 30th November, so there'll be a lot of trouble if that's not acceptable.

Phoned in to switch this morning as I suspected this was getting a hammering.
Guy confirmed I am in for the £200 and that the offer was being pulled at 9pm tonight!!

So, as a Co-op member, I'm wondering why I haven't had a mailshot about this, and how I connect my bank account to my membership (since I wasn't asked for a membership number), and how my banking activities translate into divi.

When you switch you are asked for your membership number, sort code, account number, etc.

Contrary to the '14 days of account opening' notes, to get the £200 switching incentive the switch has to be done before 9PM tonight!

I applied online on Monday 17th and only received the acknowledgment but nothing since. I decided to chase the application on the phone just now and my account had been approved and letters posted (just not received yet). I did the switching over the phone as apparently the offer does indeed end tonight at 9PM regardless of when and how you applied for an account.

So get phoning if you've not already switched! It is possible the advisor I spoke to was ill informed regarding the 14 days time frame but I didn't want to risk not being eligible.

Got in a branch today at 4.30. They'd just received an email saying that as of 5pm today, the 200 for switching offer has now been withdrawn. So just in, under the wire. I'm more than happy to be contradicted, on behalf of others but that seems to be it.

I've just realised that the 2million they say they've set asise for this only equals 10,000 new customers.
Had to explain this by use of my fingers to the woman in the bank. She thought it was 50,000 customers.
Happy so far though. Old school no nonsense, without having to read a stupid "This is a bank and this is a financial agreement" script, Plus they had big old fashioned doors and a wooden "this teller is closed" sign on one counter.... Love it...

As for the 14 days. You have to request the switch within 14 days, but if you do this AND you've applied for the account within the eligible time frame then you'll be fine. Assuming nothing hideous goes wrong.
What they havenb't made a big thing of and I haven't seen mentioned on here is the Automatic 1,000 fee and interest free overdraft that you get, for THREE months. Not on the 800 above the normal fee payable 200 (this on the Current account), but on the whole 1,000. They should have made more of that. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

I was assured the offer finished as of close of business today. Fortunately my branch stayed open late and my application and, most importantly, the switch request, was finally* keyed at 18:10 hours.
So just in, under the wire.
    I'll say!

    * One hour and ten minutes must be a record!?
