Co-Op bank - £200 if you switch to them

There were no sort code and account number on my letter, just an "application number" .it just said I had been approved subject to a few formalities with a £200 O/D and they needed 2 forms of ID.0

I'm beginning to get confused here. When does the 14days start ? From being given account details? So I applied online and was accepted on line 'subject to.....' . I want this £200, do I have to be a member of the coop ...? Does anyone know?
You don't need to be a member of the Co-op in order to get the account, but just to say, do join as you will get 'partnership shares' with your bank account transactions. Comes to a little bit each year (£20 or so perhaps, the amount is a division of profits amongst members, so the amount is not guaranteed) and useful if you have a Co-op store near you.0 -
it can be operated online, I used to have a cash minder so called to register the new account and its onlineDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

If you have received a postal letter you already have your sort code and account number. You'll need these for the switching process. It clearly says anyone who opened an account between 17 and 21st October is elligible for the £200 offer once you complete the full switch.
The thing now is do we now need to fill out further forms to get the online bit working, as assumingly they'll otherwise thing we only want branch access? According to the web site, co-op now use a card reader, so we'll be needing one of those?
call here and they do it over the phone straight away

So do I assume from that that if I have 'applied' for an account between 17th and 21st October that I will miss out on the £200? I have not received any account details0

You should still be on for the £200. Obviously you're stalled until you get a letter with your account number at the top, but then you should have 14 days from the date of that letter to apply for switching."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
So this is still on but you have to go in to a branch now? Trust me to miss the easy online application!
