I (very nicely) asked if a note could be added to my account, to express my dissatisfaction that we are now in month 5, and the incentive has not been received.
I called them last week and they said it should now be applied to all eligible accounts, it wasn't on mine so they raised some sort of referral and it turned up in my account today.
I would ask to speak to a manager because apparently its only them that can raise these referrals.0 -
So it's thank you for the £200 (when that finally turns up) but I'm out.Gimme my £200 and bye bye CoOP ..
How do you close the account?(never done before)
Do they send a cheque for the balance or would they transfer it to our other account?
Do we have to send them back the chequebooks, debit card, and that calculator-like gizmo?0 -
I've buckled and phoned up today.
Apparently mine should have been paid in March but wasn't for some reason, so the person on the call has e-mailed a Manager to get the payment applied. She said she's heard of a few cases like mine where it wasn't paid when it should have been. Should be paid within two weeks so they say...0 -
Latest excuse I had Friday 13th was that it would be paid by end April. By my reading of the plain English T&Cs it was due by end Feb.Ethical moneysaver0

I've received an acknowledgement(bog-standard)letter from CS manager for my written complaint sent in the beginning of this month.
It's awful that no CS rep would send you a copy of original advert and T&C.....and it's not available on web anymore:mad:
Does any forum member has it as I may need it to refer to F.O.S...?0 -

Responding late because I see you are still active in the thread. If you have telephone access set-up I believe the account can be closed by phone.
However there is more to "closing" than just closing. First ensure any "critical" direct debits or standing orders are transferred (or set-up) with another bank. Then when you are satisfied they are active (or not needed) cancel them on your Co-operative account. Obviously redirect your credits. Once you are satisfied all is in order transfer electronically or withdraw your funds from the Co-operative account. Then phone up to close. The person you speak with should explain what needs to be returned, in the case of card/cheques suitably destroyed.0 -

Interestingly, when you go via that link to the quoted/posted T&Cs, number 9 could be interpreted as meaning the bonus would be paid within 4 months of having met the three payments of £800 criteria. Meaning 3+4 = up to 7 months after switching.0 -
