I agree.I am quite sore about their customer services.
    I made 4 calls altogether.
    One said I'm perfectly eligible.
The rest 3 gave 3 different reasons for not qualifying 1) not the calendar month 2) I didn't switch my "main" bank account 3) i didn't use their dedicated switch team  When I read out their letter saying I did full switch, she said someone would call me back in 2 days.A week has passed.I'm drafting a complaint letter:mad:

    Still haven't received mine.

I think my switching date was around 6 November and I've been told several times I'll get the £200 by the end of March, so I'm just sitting tight until Monday.

Last time this sort of thing happened (with Santander), I ended up £460 better off by the time they'd resolved my complaint...

Did you have to refer to Financial Ombudsman after 8 weeks?

Nope, got dealt with very swiftly. I was extremely impressed with Santander. So much so that I have a current account, eSaver and ISA with them.

I should add, I'm not necessarily impressed by their initial service, more with their willingness to admit their mistakes and agree to my ridiculous compensation requests.

    -edit
This is probably because they're so used to dealing with mistakes that their complaint department gets a lot of practise. All the people I spoke to were very nice, especially the 'Escalated Complaints' guys.

I got a letter saying that I was not eligible for the £200 as I had not paid £800 each month into the account for the three months after my switch.

I switched in December, and made 2 deposits in Jan and Feb, and was under the impression that as long as I did another in March, I would qualify as I have not seen anywhere that it has to be by a certain date in each of the three months.

Can I still make another deposit before the end of March and make a complaint or is there small print that I have missed?

Did you make a deposit on the month of your switch?

So if your completion date was 10th December, did you make a deposit between the 10th December and the 9th January? The second payment being between January 10th and February the 9th? and so on..

No because I was not told that was a requirement, it just says "for the three months after the account was switched". ie one in Jan, Feb and March. It is not specific that it must be within 30 days of the switch.

    Possible miss-selling?

There are a bunch of unfortunates including me who fell for this trap.
On my first call to the customer services, they quoted this as the reason for me not qualifying. However, my other half was paid £200 inspite of same days of switch and remittances as mine.

I'm quite inclined to refer to Financial Ombudsman in 8 weeks, if they backtrack. And would close the account ASAP after that:mad:

I got a letter that says "....you must pay at least £800 every month for 3 months from the date above (the date on the letter)." As the letter is dated Dec 13th, it is logical the three months would be Dec-Jan-Feb. If you have received such a letter the unfortunately you do not have a case!

As as aside, I still have not received the incentive and when I called up today I was given a spiel about April will be the 4th month (according to the advisor Month 1- Dec-Jan, Month 2-Jan-Feb, Month 3-Feb-Mar, Month 4- Mar-April)....lets see if this pans out
