    Hi All,

Is there anyone around who's switching date was in december who has/hasn't received their bonus yet?

I've just checked and my switching date was 12th December with money over £1000 then being paid on the 22nd of each month, but i'm yet to receive mine and was just wondering if everyone else was the same?

    Thanks

My switch date was also on the 12th, £800+ payments made on 15/12, 16/01 and 13/02 and I've not recieved the £200 yet either.

Nice to know I'm not alone, the customer service rep on the phone told me it would be paid by the end of the month so worth keeping an eye out!

I've decided to close my CO OP account, what's the quickest and easiest way to do it
    All help appreciated
  • Got mine too :)

Then immediately contracted First Direct to transfer my direct debits back as by comparison co-op are awful!

I would love to switch to First Direct, but fear that they will refuse my application. My girlfriend who has a salary >30k was refused an account with First Direct last year. She has no debt, no credit card, is on the electoral role and renting an house. Could it be because we have recently moved and we've been for less than 3 years at this new address?

Went in and shut the Co-op account yesterday.

I feel like I've used and abused them.

Our "transfer date" (as the Co-op misleadingly calls it) was 13 December. CREDIT £200 appeared in our account today, 23 March. You'd think the Co-op could blow their own trumpet a bit better, by identifying it as "Switching incentive, as promised" or some such!

TSYS, the US megacorp to which Nationwide Building Society outsources credit card operations, screwed up by trying to collect my December Direct Debit without waiting the correct time between (a) confirming the Direct Debit Instruction with the Co-op; and (b) collecting a payment. TSYS then bungled correcting the resulting mess. I have made a small claim in the County Court against Nationwide for a refund of wrong charges plus damages for stress and annoyance. Their in-house solicitor, presumably briefed by TSYS, has entered a defence which adds further bungles. I now await a sensible offer from Nationwide, or the free mediation which County Courts provide, or the pleasure of trouncing Nationwide in a hearing.

Probably because she has no debt or credit card, FD are known for being strict and I think that generally you need a credit file with lots of green on it to be accepted by them.

Yep; Dandyman never came back so I guess he got news one way or t'other!

    Time to bid au revoir......................
  • Still waiting for mine...sigh. Switch date of 17th December (On account of not informing me that they weren't switching my DDs because I had submitted an authorisation form for sole accounts and not joint).
