Well done for passing the course! :j:T:j It takes dedication to study like that. I hope you get the next one in on time too.
I sat at work and listened to people talking about how they were going for a big shop and out for lunch and dinner or to buy something or other they'd been lusting after since last payday and I thought 'that'll be your money gone, on carp you don't really need and then you'll be moaning about how little money you've got until next payday'
I have turned truly MSE :money:

Scarily MSE! I think most of us would feel at least a little bit envious but it's great you can see through what's happening and not get drawn in yourself.

Not long now till that Carp one card is down to three figures. :) Yes, you really will be debt free one day and it's coming ever closer!

    Hello Freeby,

Well haven't you had a lot going on? Some bad, but mostly good. I'm the same as you in needing to be on here often to keep me on track. Writing about my stuff and reading others keeps me focussed and motivated and excited really as there's so much support on here when you go to the right places.

Happy Happy Pay Day and many congratulations at not using that as a splurge date!

Your weight loss is going great too. Not many systems can cope with the ongoing weightloss so the 1/2lb gain will be a decent loss next weigh in while your system adjusts.

Congratulations on passing your OU course too.

How are you getting on finishing the other one you have? Need any help?

Thank you Muffy and thanks for dropping by :)

I am hoping my weight loss will catch up again but my body is a stubborn burger and just does what it jolly well pleases

I have two OU courses on the go at the moment. One is almost finished and will be done this weekend :T but the other is just beginning  This will be the first place I will come when I need some inspiration but I think it might be a bit of a scary subject. It's called 'Death & Dying' :o A cheery subject - not :o but I need it for my degree. :)

    Good Morning :)

Not much to report for yesterday.

I got up, I went to work, I came home and not much happened in between :o

But in true determined style I am on here to keep me focused :)

I did get my last essay in for my current OU course (can you guess what I did at work all day) and I just have an online assessment to complete this weekend. I am a bit worried about that one because once it's started you can't go away and then come back to it later  I will have all my books around me though - so what can possibly go wrong

Then I have to get started on the next one, I shall pose the topic of the essay as soon as I know what it is. I haven't even opened the box with all the books in yet :o

I also went to the gym yesterday. I came away thinking that I hadn't worked as hard as I normally do, yet I had run a bit further and rowed a bit faster. *whispers* I think I may be getting my fitness back.

Not much else to report. Because it's the weekend there has been no movement in my bank account and I still have resisted the urge to go out and spend all my remaining wages :j But today is Spendy Saturday  I shall return later to report the damage. Maybe the thought of having to face everyone on here will keep me on the straight and narrow :o

    Good things that happened yesterday

Most of my wages are still in the bank :j

Little PAD to the Carp 1 card :T

    OU essay submitted :T
I went to the gym and didn't make excuses why I shouldn't go :T
    Captured NSD #12 :j

    Bad things that happened yesterday

Ohhhhhhh, I don't think I did anything bad money wise. I was very MSE all day :T

'Spendy Saturday' is a brilliant idea (of course now you spell it out for me I realise you've mentioned it a few times :o). It would be a great tool for all of us though I imagine most people would struggle with such discipline.

I can see why opening up the online assessment would be scary - but as you say you'll have your books - wishing you all the best for it!

Sorry the umbellifera (umbelliferae? umbelliferas?) are of no use - I will go and stick them somewhere. :D 'Death and Dying'... maybe not the most cheerful subject but I bet it's interesting. I will leave you a single wilting umbellifera for inspiration.

Well done on getting your fitness back! you see? You can do it!

    Happy Spendy Saturday. :)

    Evening...

'Death and dying' huh? Cool (in a nerdtastic type way!)....

And does anyone else think that a wilting umbellifera sounds like something which should be heavily medicated...
