Good Morning

I got the dreaded carp 1 statement  and I am happy with saving between £4 & £5 this month on the interest if I had just paid them the minimum they wanted :j I just need to keep it up and carry on debt busting it. So in true DFW style I made another titchy PAD today
It's coming down :T and my ultimate goal is to get it gone in September
but at the moment (in true nerdy style) my figures predict October
It was nice to see a healthy 'available to spend' on the statement, not that I have any intention of using it, but it was still nice to see
I e-mailed Mr T yesterday but have had no response - which is what I suspected  but a nice e-mail to say 'we are sorry' would have been better customer service dontcha think??
That's it. That's all that has happened in the world of freeby in the last 24 hours. I lead a very boring life
but I prefer it that way, I don't know if I have the energy for drama
I shall brave the gym again after work tonight  and try not to get the treadmill next to the Pamela Anderson lookalike (complete with the slow motion effortless running) like last time. There's nothing like heaving yourself along next to a supermodel wannabe to bring you back down to earth
Have a great Friday x xFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Good Morning

I am going to try and take a leaf out of Missus Muffy's book (have you read that woman's diary - she is a DFW machine at the moment) and try to get myself super organised and motivated again.
I am starting to feel like I have let things slide a bit
Part of me is frustrated at my lack of determination and focus just recently but part of me also realises that because my MSE ways are just part of my normal life now then I just don't notice all the changes I have made since October.
Mr T called me at work on Friday and apologised for the bad timing with the money off vouchers
then they went on to say they would credit my club card with the equivalent amount of cash - £7 - as a goodwill gesture :j Woo Hoo, if I am savvy I can double them up next time there is an offer on
I think I shall become a serial complainer from now on :rotfl:
Had my usual spendy Saturday yesterday and have myself all organised for the week.
Meal plans are all done and shopped for, cash is in various pots for any bits and pieces through the week
and my car is full of diesel
I should not need to spend anything from today until next Saturday now :j
I sold one item on ebay this week, well I actually sold two, but one person hasn't paid yet, so, as I only post on spendy Saturday, they'll have a while to wait before I post it now provided they stump up the cash of course. I really must get some more things listed - a job for after the gym today, I think. Then I can sit in front of the computer recovering without feeling guilty for not getting on with the 1001 jobs that I should be doing
Have a great Sunday everyone x xFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
I realised I haven't posted on your diary for a while - sorry.
I've just had a nice catch-up and I'm impressed with all this weightloss and gym business. (I'm the one outside the gym eating chips I think - so don't worry about how you compare with Pamela Anderson look-alikes, you are on the way there which is more than can be said for me).
I'm also impressed with the £7 for complaining... DD complained about a burger meal not so long ago and got a voucher in return - worth doing if things aren't of an acceptable quality.
Enjoy your Sunday too.

Ahh, thank you Freeby. As I mentioned in my diary response I think our priorities are just in different places as I would kill to have your gym enthusiasm (it's just a shame I wouldn't give up chocolate or get to the gym for it!). I'm telling myself that once the exercise endorphins kick in there's no looking back, but I'm too tired to really focus on it!!!!
What a great gesture from Mr T (I think he likes you!!!
) Speaking of which, how are things going for you in that area? Don't ask that question back please, I'm a relationship multiple pile up!!!!
So, now you seem to be pushing yourself to list ebay items I think I'd better match you and get my oversized body into the gym. Unfortunately my gym has an upper floor so I may call and warn them to reinforce the beams or something!!!
Enjoy your gym and online listings.0 -
Ermmmmmmm...... *taps fingers on sideboard* where's the daily update, hmmmm??
*makes self comfortable in the posh chair* well, I tell you, can't get the service anymore you know...0 -
Good Morning

Missus Knitty - gerroff my chair
Well, the reason why there has been no daily update is because there is nothing really to update
I have just been plodding along trying to keep everything in order. My MSE ways have become part of my daily life now so I guess I just don't notice them or get as excited about them as I used to
I lost another 2 and a half pounds at fat club on Tuesday night :j which is 9 and a half in three weeks. I feel much better
and much healthier
but I fully expect it to slow down this week. I've been going to the gym and the treadmill and I are fighting a battle over who's going to run out of steam first. The treadmill is winning
. I shall have to do more leg weights as it is my legs that give up rather than my lungs. I just get so far and they just turn to jelly and stop working. And as for the cross trainer (or if I give it it's proper name - The Machine of Death) I shall just say :eek::eek:
I sold another item on ebay :T something which I have been relisting and relisting so I'm chuffed about that and the other person paid up for the item sold last week :T I'll get them posted at the weekend and list some more bits I have sitting around.
It is a week to payday and I am feeling very poor
Every penny is being watched like a hawk
I am in a much better position than I was 6 months ago but not in a place where I feel comfortable with my debts and their manageability yet
but I am not giving up, I'll just keep swimming in true Dory style.

Nearly there... focus on what you've achieved as much as possible. Maybe make yourself some sort of visual chart of what's been paid rather than what's left to do, if that works for you?

well done on the weight loss FF, i hope i'll be as successful as you are. Are you doing WW? if so can i pick your brain at times as i've just joined
i think the 'small things' thread is designed for folk like us who are just ticking along, making the effort to do things but not seeing how we are being overtly MSE (do that make sense?) we very easily forget how things once were, and the changes that we've made and stuck to.0 -
:jbeen reading through your diary for about 2 weeks now and finally I have caught up. You're doing great. Your life is pretty much on a parallel with mine. Single mum , 2 kids, trying to get uni place sorted for DD etc etc . I'll keep popping in and swim alongside you
