hi freeby, i have the same complaint about aldi and lidl so i take some large recycled shopping bags with me so i can put the stuff in there whilst i'm walking around the shop. I do spend the entire time feeling guilty as if i'm shop lifting but once i've turned the bag upside down at the check out to prove to myself it's empty i feel a bit less guilty lol

oh if you're nerdy with your spreadsheets then we must be best buds i love messing around with my debt spreadsheets, it's one of my favourite things to do and it's probably the only reason i'm still here and still so militant about clearing my debt after 6 years. keep up the good spreadsheet work lol

    Good morning :)

Well I am sitting here eagerly anticipating a trip to the gym.......well maybe the word eager is a tad strong :) I am awaiting the gym opening so I can huff and puff and generally stagger myself through another session. The gym here doesn't open until 10 on a Sunday morning  Don't they know that people like to get it over and done with as soon as possible. By the time I get back and recover long enough to have a shower and make myself presentable it's blimmin lunch time

LT - My love of spreadsheets almost surpasses my love of lists and that's saying something :o I have all my debts, my predicted payments, interest additions and my bank account ones. I also have weight loss one and my fitness one, not to mention the one where I am making sure I am getting the most out of my gym membership :o I fiddle with them daily ......... oh errr that doesn't sound right :rotfl:

Missus Knitty - A great big Mwwwwaaahhhh right back at ya. I am still delighted for you, but don't go anywhere ...I need you around to show me what it's like to be debt free and to keep me motivated that I will get there one day. :A

I am off to fill my hour before gym with some OU study  I shall return with the title of the next essay for your input and difficult words in due course :rotfl:

    Have a brilliant Sunday x x

    Good Morning :)

I had a lovely quiet day yesterday and, after the gym, spent much of it complaining about my aching limbs and how blimmin' hungry I was :o

We went out for lunch with my mum & dad and in true weight watchers style I gave my DD's all my potatoes and they gave me all their cabbage  Now, that's dedication to the cause for you. :) Dreaded weigh in tomorrow night

I did manage a lovely true NSD which was a bit of a relief as I thought I was never going to get another one. Too many silly small spends, mostly on fresh fruit & veg seeing as I appear to be eating little else.

I PADed another little bit to the horrible card this morning which made me feel as if I was still on track. The dreaded statement is due at the end of the week  but I am looking forward to seeing if I have made a difference in the interest that is added by making all these small payments plus a payment of double the minimum :) Knowing Carp 1 they'll find another way of clawing it back off me

Not much else to tell you really, so I shall..............

just keep swimming, just keep swimming :)

    Have a great Monday x x

    Hello Freeby,

Sounds like things are ticking along nicely for you. Huge congratulations on being 4lb less than when I last spoke to you! You're shrinking away in front of my very screen! Doesn't it feel good seeing that smaller number and I'm incredibly impressed with your potatoes swap!

Now, I like potatoes, but I also like cabbage. But which one's best? :D

    Good Morning :)

Thank you Muffy for popping by :)

Still haven't got anything exciting to report, although I don't know why I am complaining, that means everything is going according to plan. :T

I am a bit piddled off with my bank this morning  (prepare for lots of angry faces ) I went to pay in over £300 last night but it was so busy that I used the 'quick drop' letterboxy thingy they have (which I use 99.9% of the times I have deposited money) I went to check it this morning and it's not been credited to my account  Now, because it was so busy I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt (nice person that I am) and assume they didn't have time before they all needed to rush home for their dinner and other lives (but they used to be around long enough to phone me trying to sell me stuff in the middle of the evening ) So I will wait until later today and check the balance then and if it isn't there then they need to prepare for a very p!$$ed off freeby. Then I went to make an online payment to the carp 1 card and it told me that carp 1 did not accept online payments  errrrrrrr hellllllloooooo, how on earth do you imagine I've been paying them for the last 100 years  I am going to assume (see, I told you I am a nice person) that one or both of them have a problem with their faster payment service this morning and will try again through the day (while I'm obsessing over the payment credit) and if it still isn't working tomorrow, which is the last day for a payment to the card before the dreaded statement  they can prepare for a very angry freeby x 2

    And breathe...........

Got my last NSD yesterday for the challenge. Who knew I would only spend money 10 days in February, I've been to Disneyland and a land far, far away with DD1, so I am a little bit chuffed with that :)

Weigh in tonight  I wonder what the scales of doom will say later.

    I shall let you know........

    Have a fantastic Tuesday x x

    Hi Freeby,
In case it helps reassure you, I went to the cashpoint today to get some money out for my ebay packages. It wouldn't let me have any money even though I knew I had at least £10 in there. When I pressed on balance check it said I had £0.00 in my account! So I wonder if something is going on with the banking systems? Maybe the leap year is causing all sorts of confusion!!! ;)

I've since checked again and there's my money all accounted for and showing available, but definitely something odd initially telling me I had nothing there.

I hope all of your stuff gets sorted asap so they can turn your frown upside down! :o x

hope you managed to find your money in the bank, god that must be scary MT to find a zero balance, thank god they didn't do that to me as it's my payday and i wouldn't have been able to 'enjoy' the payday money transfers.

    Good Morning :)

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, life took over for a while :)

The money never appeared in my bank account by lunch time, so after throwing my teddy out of the cot I eventually got to speak to a real live person at my local branch (even if she did sound as if she was about 12 ) Then there was much ummmmming and ahhhhhhing and eventually she phoned me back to tell me they had found it and it had got stuck in the letterboxy thing and they hadn't seen it :mad: Won't be using that again. So it is now safely deposited in my account :T but it's a good job I check my banking every day.

Went to fat club on Tuesday night and lost another 2 1/2 lbs :j so that makes half a stone in two weeks :j I already feel much better and my work trousers no longer look like they have been sprayed on :o I have also been back to the gym and am pushing myself to do a little more each time. I am still the colour of a ripe tomato when I am finished but I don't care - at least I am doing it :)

Some more PADs were made to the Carp 1 card, eventually, when it decided to stop playing silly burgers and start working again  Tomorrow is the dreaded statement day  and I will get to see how much, if any, I have saved myself in interest by making the extra payments. I hope it has been worth while. By my reckoning I have paid well over £100 over the minimum they were wanting so it bloomin' better have made a difference

Today it is Mr T's turn to feel my wrath. I went to do my shop yesterday and spent £57  arrived home from work to find a book of shiny new money off vouchers through the letterbox. The first of which was a £7 off if you spend £50 :mad::mad: They can expect a strongly worded email from me later today, not that it will make the slightest bit of difference but I shall vent my wrath just to make me feel better :)

Not much else happening in the world of freeby, I shall return tomorrow with the carp 1 results - bet you can't wait :rotfl:

    Have a great Thursday x x
