Erm..well...*shuffles around her rock* I've been...ummm... well, see there was this big hole which I fell down - damn that rabbit!! Anyway, back now - on track and getting up to all sorts (oo, and check your inbox - have sent you an email).
So, a shindig huh? Every good shindig needs a Nora in the corner, you know...clicking heels optional...:D
P.S. Missed you too :kisses3:0 -

Just flying in before I go to work. I'll mail ya back at the weekend when I am not running around like a headless chook. Honestly, the school holidays are more hassle than they're worth sometimes :mad:Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Hi Freeby, the bookcase and I are in a stand-off! I never managed to find the two small missing pieces but DH was throwing out a piece of wood which I grabbed back, saying 'That's exactly what we need for the bookcase', so it's now made into two pieces which are sitting on the bedroom floor awaiting our return.
It's interesting that you find spending and eating go hand in hand. I'm not sure what the answer to that is, unless that you need the occasional treat. Maybe it's one of those things where, if you delve into your childhood, you'll find that you once learned to associate both food and spending with feeling better? Or maybe not.
That certain December festival... maybe fifties stuff will be all the rage this year and we can all make paperchains?
Ohhhhhh paperchains. I remember sitting licking and sticking for hour only to end up with a chain that measured about 2 feet long and wouldn't reach anywhere
Of course that was back in the day where you went holly picking and advent calenders had pictures of the nativity behind the door and not a hulking load of chocolate...........am I showing my age now???? :rotfl:
And thanks for the idea miggy, but there ain't no way I am delving into my childhood memories, heaven knows what I'd find in there  :rotfl: (70's child )Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
hi freeby fifty, i'm going to update signature as i am also trying to collect the treasured big gold coins so far i have 2 .
i thought i would have been able to use my extra wages this month for padding but that wont start till next month ,I have taken a second job for debt clearing only currently its helping us float lol.
i have cashed in my isa but i am going to make sure oh doesnt use child benefit money over next 4 months as that will fix chrismas ,thats if i dont have it sorted by then ,was thinking of using the left over food budget money to buy a pressie a week what you think?
Anyway away to get ready for 2nd job by the way this means i'm up to 32 hrs so still not bad and mainly school hours .
hope you have a nice nsd mines r becoming many elly x
Up for 32 hours :eek: I have trouble with the standard 16.
Take care of yourself. No point being debt free if you can't enjoy it.
Good idea about the family allowance and buying something with the leftover shopping budget. I have a list but that's all at the moment but I'm gonna get started on it when I get paid in the middle of the month and, like you, buy what I can afford when I can afford to buy it.
Start PADing if you can (when you can) I honestly believe that's what helped me clear the carp one card so quickly. I just hope it works for the next one

Ha ha, love it - I remember those days too!
My Dad taught me a method for making massive paper chains easily, not involving any glue, just scissors, but it takes an awful lot of describing! Maybe not now.
Mind you it would help fill the school hols. :rotfl:Miggy

Good Morning

Elly - You definitely get 1st prize for buying the earliest 'c' word decoration...........unless anyone knows any different. :rotfl:
There has not been much happening in Freeby world lately, which I have said before and will say again, is a good thing. Today is shopping day but as long as I stay within my budget I'll be happy. I am taking a trip to Mr A though which always tempts and cajoles me into spending more than I really want to, but if it means a saving later in the month it's all good.....or am I just trying to convince myself?????
I am on holiday now for two weeks :T I have no plans and aim to take each day as it arrives and see what the weather and the finances allow us to do. Which, if the summer so far is anything to go by, won't be very much. The DD's are keen to go to the safari park which is about an hour away and swimming is free with my gym membership so that's two days taken care of as I'll make the swim day a whole day out with lunch and the flicks
Thinking about heading to Edinburgh too for a couple of days at the festival but I'll ponder on that one a while longer
Have a great weekend
