yay!
i have done some ebay listing today:jnot quite all but it will do for now......
re. your sky bill. i compared the cost between sky and BT and rang up and said, 'sorry you're too expensive - i would like to stay with you and i don't wan't to have to go through to cancellations so could we please have some common sense applied' et voila 25% off for 12 months.
i even admitted to them that 'no, not everything IS exactly the same' but it's the cost of the main stuff that matters:D
did a similar thing with BT too - they don't knowe we have to stay with them as we live in a broadband-poxy village, which has 'issues' which have always been impossible to resolve when not with them (up the telegraph pole job).0 -

I was too much of a wimp to phone up and speak to an actual live person but may have to grow up and be a big girl if I get no joy through e-mail

I'm with talktalk for my phone and broadband. Have to say that I've never had a minutes trouble with them and they are the cheapest for me. BT used to infuriate me with their charges  no matter what I did I couldn't get my bill down.Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Well after the excitement of £300 bonus yesterday I am now waiting in eager anticipation of it hitting my bank account. 3-5 working days my lovely next hubby Tom said so I'm guessing it will be next week

Checked my account this morning and my Amazon sales were credited to me and my £5 refund went back in, so I start the day £6.46 up already
.
The mathematical minded of you will work out that I got £1.46 for my book I sold on Amazon
that's just rubbish, it probably cost me more than that to post it.
I won't be selling on Amazon again, I'd rather take my chances on ebay.
Speaking of ebay, I have 8 items ending today. When I went to bed last night there were starting bids on two of them
when I checked this morning there are bids on 6 of them and three of them have a small bidding war going on with many watchers
Does everyone do their ebay bidding in the dead of night????
Not doing much today (just making many ebay parcels to post
) so I might round the month of with a final NSD.
Have set myself the challenge of 13 nsd's for next month  I will struggle with that unless I can stop myself going into the usual Christmas frenzy of buying useless things that nobody wants or will ever use just so I can give them a bigger parcel.

Just do what I do and do all your ridiculous spending on one day
It becomes one very EXPENSIVE day but at least you have lots of NSDs to make you feel better!! :rotfl: Savings target: £25000/£25000

Oooo *jumps up and down excitedly* I know this one! It goes "I know that Tiffanys trinket cost the earth, but it really is very small, so I'll just nip out and spend another £50 bulking it up with Accessorize scarves..."
Don't know about you, but I keep worrying that it's not even December and I'm done with the Christmas presents...plus I haven't spent the earth...it simply doesn't feel like I've finished...

Tiffanys?????? Accessorize????
I have one Tiffanys piece (piece - get me) and I don't like the stuff in Accessorize (I'm such a slob) so I can't even blame my massive debts on being classy
Not quite finished my shopping yet but I am getting there. Much ordering off ebay today and a small spend at Debenhams (through Quidco) and I'm a little bit closer

Who are Very.co.uk and why are they bomarding me with carp through the post. I've had 4 lots of junk mail these past two days, each offering my £1000's in credit and fantastic (their words not mine) offers to get me further into debt
Are they Littlewoods??
Don't they know I'm a reformed character?

friends and I clubbed together years back and managed to get a friend the smallest possible thing from Tiffanys...which I then bulked out with bits and pieces from Accessorise because I felt bad that the box was so small!
This year we've all clubbed together again to get her something she wants...and not only is it cheaper, it can't be wrapped up and I'm quite ok with that.... and I haven't been anywhere near Accessorise....:beer:0 -
Evening.
Have just put 5 more listings on;).
Plus some of the things i listed last night have sold well (BIN last of my christmas business items):ji have an ebay shop, but think i will close it after christmas and just list normally lol. It will stop me buying stuff to sell for too-small profit margins (see, it's not real spending when i do it to sell on ebay:p)
BTW, do you have a date for the wedding:happylove - are we going to need hats?_party_0 -
Ha ha! Yes, you can call me Muffy. It made me actually giggle when I read that.
What an honour that very.co.uk are sending you all those fantastic offers to make them more money and you more in debt! I had a "preapproved" credit card application through at the weekend with an interest rate of 39.9% !!! Ooh, yes please! Can I have two?
But some people who aren't yet reformed would have probably jumped at the fabulous offers you received and/or the credit card I had sent through during a strategically worked out time. Did they mention what a great christmas it would give you to take up all of their lovely offers? It generally amuses me the way they word the letters like they're doing us the favour by robbing us of our hard gained cash!0
