:)If I don't get time to log on and post before you go, have a wonderful time in London. :)

London is as cheap or as dear as you want to make it really. Last time I went, I planned to spend a v MSE day going around the free museums. Got as far as the Natural History Museum and that's where we stayed for the day. It's amazing. Aren't we lucky in this country to have so many wonderful things available to us and right on our doorsteps?

Thanks banwa, we ended up doing that the last time we went to Edinburgh during the Fringe. Thought we'd pop into National Museum of Scotland for a quick look and came out 4 hours later!!!!! Brilliant fun for FREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!:)

Sometimes I think what we have in this country we take for granted, where else can you be totally entertained and educated for nothing? :)

I really must remember to put everything into one post

More things listed on ebay and DD2 is currently rummaging through her bedroom looking for more stuff to put on. She says she's making room for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!
Bit fed up though as I think it is another free listings weekend and I won't be around to put them on :(

A productive day so far me thinks :)

Well I'm back from from my adventures in London.
It was brilliant :) The hotel was fantastic. We got a free upgrade to a mews suite and if I stretched my neck far enough I could have seen into Wills and Kate's front room! Molton Brown freebies in the bathroom and a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates!!!! :)
All free due to a previous disappointing stay and the power of complaint!
Money wise  it's not too bad. I had £80 cash in my purse and came back with £30 and I spent £52 on presents with my debit card.
Not too bad for two days on Oxford St/Regent St/Whatever street Fortnum & Masons is on.

And Wicked is just..............well wicked. Absolutely brilliant. Possibly the best show I've seen.

Will be back later, must see the cherubs out to school.

Good Morning and I only have one thing to say............

    It's PAYDAY :T:T:j:j

Naturally I have spent the last hour (up at stupid o'clock again) updating spreadsheets, paying bills etc and now I have much less left than I did an hour ago BUT the mortgage, council tax, electricity and gas are all paid and I have made some payments to cc's and catalogues so all is good :)
The month is looking quite healthy and I have budgeted an overpayment into F/mans, so, as long as I don't have a mad Christmas splurge (brilliant word) I'll be just fine again this month :j with maybe (fingers crossed) a little bit left over to give myself a little cushion.

Back to work today after having a week off sick and a days leave yesterday. I am actually looking forward to it. I really must be mad :)

  • Oooooo, payday...... aren't they so much more fun now we're MSEing?

And no, I don't think it's madness to be looking forward to work - besides, that'll fade after an hour or two back at work! :rotfl:

Well you were right Knitty, the novelty of being at work wore off about 10 minutes after I'd arrived when I realised I had 175 e-mails to deal with most of them needing actioned, so being me I had a mini strop about me being the only person in the whole s0dding place that anybody ever e-mailed.

Having acted up to a higher paid position for the last 5 months and the higher renumeration being absent from my payslip today again (4th month of expecting it) I then went onto have a minor strop about that.

Then when someone asked me to do something that came under my higher paid duties job description (that I haven't been getting paid for since I started) I had a full scale major meltdown strop and declined their request

    Back to normal really :)
