Happy payday!
Although sorry to hear about your rubbish personnel people not getting their acts together, they are the same in my place. One poor lady had to wait 6 months to start work as they constantly messed up the recruitment stuff, and even internal promotions with people who have been working in the department for YEARS have them waiting months for their payrises! Argh!
I don't blame you for your strops haha

Thanks Mildredalien. My work mates are quite used to my strops. They just do a 'roll eyes here she goes again' thing between them and leave me to get on with it

Well, what to do today?
I have checked my bank account and compared it to my spreadsheets - all is good
Only 29 days until payday
Have checked my ebay account. 5 things ending today and bids on 4 of them
I must get some more stuff on tonight to end on Sunday. I still have quite a few bits and pieces to try to sell, I doubt I'll get very much for them but every penny got is a penny more than I had
Also, yesterday I decided that I was not going to go to any of the Christmas parties this year. Because of where I work and the way the office is made up there are 4 seperate parties I have been invited to. They are all sit down meals and drinks and all 20 miles from my town. I worked out that I would have to buy a new top for each of them (can't be seen at a party with the same thing on as the last one) and each one would cost £20 in taxi fares home as well as the cost of meals and drinks. I just can't do it.
So I'm being a bah humbug and to avoid upsetting anyone (why is she going to theirs and not ours) I'm not going to any!
It's hard but I reckon I'll save myself a small fortune and it's a short term pain for a long term gain. They'll be plenty more nights out to go to and one day I'll be able to go guilt free
Why do people choose to spend a shed load of money on nights out when they are already spending shed loads of money on Christmas?
Well best go, another day at work beckons and I will try not to strop too much :TFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Morning Freeby
It's a shame, but you've got to look after yourself - and they should all understand, afterall, no-one has the money to do four Christmas meals! Suddenly flashing back to the Vicar of Dibley episode where she ends up attending meals all over the village! :rotfl:freebyfifty wrote: »So I'm being a bah humbug and to avoid upsetting anyone (why is she going to theirs and not ours) I'm not going to any!
Isn't it funny how when we're simply asking for what is due, it's classed as a strop? Stuff 'em - strop away...reach for the stars, and work towards a full tantrum....;)Well best go, another day at work beckons and I will try not to strop too much :T
Have a goodun'.

Well Good Morning again,
Another day of a DFW. Only 28 days until payday!;)
Nothing much to tell today, I am just swimming along, doing what I can to stay in control. I have a bank balance that looks just fine for the remainder of the month, a nice healthy amount in my paypal account for Christmas presents and lots of bits and bobs listed on ebay but they only have watchers at the moment and no bids
I really must get some more things on - I'm slacking
Does anyone listen to Chris Evans on Radio 2 in the morning? He is doing the Children in Need auction thingy which is all very comendable but I can't help feeling a little bit jealous/p!$$ed off with the auctions. Why is there nothing for the ordinary struggling person on the street? Everything he is auctioning is going for thousands and thousands of pounds! Clearly there are some people out there who have £140k to spend on a game of golf!!! (I'm so jealous).
I'm not miserable and I know that all the money they get is going to a brilliant cause, and that's not my grudge, but why is there nothing for a poorer person? Why can't they do something like ........get the new Harry Potter DVD for half price........or something like that for the ordinary punter? I'm sure they'd get thousands more people interested than they do for a game of golf or driving a Ferrari and still make loads of money for the charity!!!!!
Anyway...rant over.......that was my strop for today
Managed to claim another NSD yesterday
Hoping for another one today
Joining the NSD challenge has really focussed my mind on how much I spend and when and on what. It's really helping to keep the cash in my purse for a little bit longer and to only spend what is budgeted for. When I think of all the carp I used to buy and not even notice it makes me go cold. How much money have I wasted and I've got nothing to show for it?????
Well that's all changed now and here's hoping that 2012 will be a more wealthy year than 2011 :beer:Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
I've been listening to Chris and they are doing a competition where you have to text in where Steve Wright was born, costs a quid plus network charges and you get to go to the disco and hotel etc.

I think you're right about the NSD challenge. I ran out of printer ink last night but I'm refusing to buy more until tomorrow which I know will be a spends day. It gives me time to step back and make a list of things I need, rather than skipping round the shops buying everything on impulse.
Anyway, have a good 'un.
