  • So did you :j:j:j

If I tell you that, I'd have to kill you - lol :)

On a Saturday I do a meal plan and do my weekly shop for everything! If we need it through the week and we ain't got it then it's tough! :)
I pay into a tea fund on a Monday morning at work but if I put that £1 in my coat pocket on a Saturday I count it in my spendy day and not on the Monday.
I have to admit that I pounced on the poor window cleaner before he could get his squeegee (sp?) out and told him not to bother this time so I could get a NSD and today I told a workmate I had a sore stomach to avoid going out for a coffee at lunch.
I'm lucky (????) in that I work in a place where there are no vending machines or canteen and that we have to take our own stuff in.
I just want to get to my target of 15 then I'll relax a little (maybe).

So now that I've told you...............................sleep with one eye open - :rotfl:

    It's Friday :j

Yesterday I got a statement from Littlewoods. I had e-mailed them as soon as my balance went to zero to tell them to close my account so when I got the statement I expected it to have some kinda sneaky extra charge or something on it but nooooooooooo :T
    It said
    Balance - 0.00
    Payment Due - 0.00
    Available to spend - 0.00

Woop woop - one down :) - many, many more to go :(

I'm just glad the account is closed and gone. I know what I'm like, it would have been too tempting in one of my dark hours to say "Oh s0d it, it'll just get it on the catalogue" which I have done many many many (and so on) times. Now I can't :)
Just got to concentrate on F/Mans now and if my predictions are correct that will be gone in February. I have joined a 2012 challenge precisely to make sure that happens. :)

I got another Christmas prezzie from ebay yesterday, bought out of the cash I'd made from selling so no direct cost to me. I feel like Christmas is starting to come together and I'm so much more in control than any other year I can remember. :)

I've only been doing this diary for a month and I can honestly say it has changed my life. One day I will be on here declaring I am debt free but at the moment I am really enjoing the challenge of getting there.

As it is Friday I am, once again, obssessed with my shopping budget.
I am wandering around the house making sure I have everything we might need through the week and I have written my meal plan and checked out Mr T's website for the offers.
Can my list really come to less than £15 for essentials???????

I am going to buy some bits and pieces for the kids stockings. I have also decided that I won't be buying selection boxes for them this year, instead I am going to buy the multi packs of chocolate bars, seperate them and put them in a little Christmas gift bag for each of them. Hopefully this will work out cheaper than buying a cardboard box with 6 bars in it for a fiver. For that £5 each they'll get so much more lovely chocolate.

If I spend £5 on those bits, my shopping will be around the 20 quid mark. I can't believe that......there must be something I've missed

  • Morning! Thanks for dropping by on my diary :) And congratulations on your zero Littlewoods balance!

I am envious of your meal plan obsession, mine has fallen by the wayside after 2 weeks! I'm determined to get back on track next week though, and resist the lure of the takeaway and convenience food....
    Savings target: £25000/£25000

Thank you FREEZ. I am going to Mr T tomorrow so I will investigate further but if they are on that offer I'd be mad not to - thank you :)

Well done on all those Littlewoods zeros! And the multitudinous NSDs! Now... are you tempted by the BOGOF selection boxes? :D

I always end up going round the pound shops for stocking fillers but of course then I have to be doubly careful not to spend so much because I'm spending so little, IYSWIM. :)
