Ha she must mean 2013, just a year ahead!!

I've been away a while, spent almost a month in the US which knocked my savings by £1500 at least. Im now up to £4200 out of £6000 and may be able to put a final 500 in in December, but nothing this month! Still fairly pleased with myself, I'll aim
for 6k again next year! Now have 7.5k in total, would like to double that for a house deposit.

    Hey guys.
Managed to save £422 this month. Am so pleased. Will not make my £5,000 target but am so pleased I have got over 3,000. My amount is now £3,222. Going to try and save another £400 in December as am really cutting down on Christmas presents.

Slowing Fading - you have done such an amazing job with this thread. Thank you for all your fab hard work.

Am definitely up for the challenge next year.

    Keep going everyone.

Count me in for next year! :T
  • I'm up for next year too:)

Became mortage free last month :j, and need to do some retirement planning, home improvements and with a bit of effort maybe some 'living' too!

Taken lots of tips from this forum and looking forward to hopefully giving some back!
  • Updating my total for this month.

Only managed to save £400 but this takes me to £11,840...within a whisker of my £12k target. :j

The good news is I've completed virtually all of my Christmas shopping, so should see a healthy total for next month, which will comfortably see me over the finish line.

    Front page total updated too.

Can you put me down for next year please. I know I wont make £12k but can I put myself down for £2,000, or is that too little?

  • Hi All
I will be upating on Friday as my first teaching wage comes through:j:j. Not sure how much I will get as I have not seen a contract yet so not sure if they are paying me at my usual scale ( I will query it if they are not).

I have arranged to add another £100 per month to my pension starting next year (Stakeholder, not teaching pension) taking it to me putting in £200 per month. Hope to incease this again once I get savings sorted out. Looking forward to the 2013 challenge.
