I've had a few set backs and I'm only at 3800. With my holiday away in 2 weeks and Christmas, I don't think I'll manage anymore. Will be happy with £4000. Roll on next years savings challenge!!House deposit £2800/£10000

I am up for the challenge for next year too, sign me up!
I have started doing extra shifts in an attemt to boost my income. I have joined an agency and got 2 extra shifts a week booked. I hope I can keep it up as its hard slog! Also got a bill for the car this week for £264 and an extra £50 on hubby's taxi fares to work because no car so thats dented the finances a bit. Hoping to catch up.
I am definitely NOT having an expensive xmas this year. I have knit socks for pressies with some wool from my stash and gonna go a bit frugal.
good luck everyoneSave £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Hello all
I've looked around this thread, and thought I'd like to give it a go for the new year too please.
Due to several bereavements/illnesses, I have felt the urge to splurge, to cheer myself up. But need to stop now I have lost my job!
Must do better.... It will be a challenge but I hope the nice people on here will encourage me too.
