    Hello all,

£1105 declared for me this month. £8.52 of that is interest from the least attractive of my savings accounts (the one I withdraw money from occasionally) and is more interest than I expected as it spend some of the year with just over a pound in it!

DH managed not to go too overboard on his US trip with his Dad - I think Dad insisted on paying for quite a lot of the food and daily expenses which saved our credit card getting too hammered! We did, however, end up with a couple of fraudulent purchases that appeared after they got back to the UK. Nationwide were on the ball and phoned me about them quickly, recognising that the dates did not tie up with the dates I had told them that DH was away (purchases were made in US). Only one of the attempted fraudulent purchases has actually made it through, so I am hoping for a refund shortly.... New cards were sent out quickly and I'm hoping it will be sorted - not had to deal with anything like this before

I've not updated my signature, but i think i am getting quite close to target!:)

Edit: More interest on another ISA - takes my total to £1200 :-)
  • Hi everyone, only 2 months to go! Don't think I will make my initial target of £5,000, so have dropped it to £3,000 as this may be more doable. Still never saved £3,000 in one year before, so this would be good for me!

My saved amount for October is £257.87 (member 159). x
Currently debt free (for 4 years) - ISA Savings now £4,050.56

Every pound spent is gone forever, new ones have to be rearned!

Damn...missed the update cutoff :-( Been too busy the past couple of weeks running a B&B...definitely not my desired career path but at least it was a couple extra quid to go into savings.

    Better get updating the sig!

Apologies for the delayed update, been busy since month end...

Had a feeling that either Oct or Nov would be a net cash outflow month and it turned out to be October... down £829, making my total for the year now £13,110.

However, November and December should hopefully back to money saving ways so still hoping to get to £15k by the year end!

Will update the front page :)
  • Been back teaching full time since 29 October so hoping for a wage at the end of Nov to restart my savings again!
  • Had a close look at my current state of affairs last night and made up a plan.

Current savings £1650. Aiming to save £2000 from the end of month wage (I hope) in both November and December.
